My sister is going to put in a good word for me at the hospital she work at.  She has some family working in the cafeteria and they are hiring.  If I could have my first job be there, then that would be great as I could just walk to work.

My friend eventually pressured me into ringing up the GP and finding out what's going on with my referral as it's been a month, and I said I'd give them that to sort out funding etc.  I was putting it off because normally they make me so angry and frustrated at their incompetence, but today... I found out they'd (finally) been in touch with the Gender Identity Clinic, and yesterday they discovered that they can refer me there (I told them that 5 months ago but...)  The receptionist said she'd leave a note reminding him to dictate out the referral letter, and then it'll just be 3-4 months waiting left until I get my first appointment.

I got off the phone and cried in relief.

I celebrated by buying a phone as mine electrocutes my ear when I'm using it.

My father called and told me how proud he was that I am losing weight.

One of my friends' friends who is in all of my classes chose to be my lab partner in biology. The lab was pretty easy and involved a lot of waiting, so we got to talking. Turns out we share a lot of the same interests. Then we hung out with people after lab which was fun and I met a few other guys. (One is really attractive. Just saying.)

got a thumbs up on my healing progress from my doctor! we dont have to go back for four whole weeks. woohoo!!

after our appointment (two weeks boob free never felt so good!) my wonderful partner in crime took me out to my all time favorite sushi place-right down the street from the dr.s office!! we then went to a japanese market and he bought me some milk coffee and my favorite pastry (chocolate cornet)!

i finally got the sizing issue in my compression vest figured out so i dont have to worry about if my bandage is tight enough.

and last bust most certainly not least, i felt good enough to sing i mean REALLY just belt my favorite panic songs, something ive found hard to do the way this year started out. for singing along to my favorite songs, probably out of key and really badly, with my boyfriend singing too, i am most grateful.

can i be excited about things that are happening tomarrow? its my (very wonderful and supportive) mothers birthday, and we are going out to eat. I get to see my (very awesome and supportive) brother for the first time since surgery (and most of my hormonal changes) and i have a GREAT new outfit to wear!

Noticed the guy in the car next to me looking at my legs at the traffic lights, so I let my skirt ride up a bit. Made both of our days >:-)

I did have the roof down, and the passenger seat was empty, what more can a girl do?

Cool, that's the same day of my appointment with my new doctor.
4th time's the charm?
Hey, you've reached Lauren's signature! If you have any questions, want to talk, or just need a shoulder to cry on, leave me a message, and I'll get back to you.

I finished the read-through of the first draft of my second novel, taking notes and highlighting sections. My goal was to have this done by Eostara (Spring Equinox) and I'm ahead of schedule. If all goes well, I should still be on schedule to complete the second draft by Litha (Summer Solstice)!

When my mom's boyfriend and I were setting up our new Smart TV yesterday, my mom said "you men never follow instructions". It's the first time she ever acknowledged my being trans.

Cool, sounds like she dropped the "wo" off of wo-men so you don't have to feel so woefull anymore Mr. Hockey!  :icon_bunch: :D

went to my mothers birthday dinner at a beautiful fancy restaurant. They seated us just near enough to this AMAZING mural that I could see the entire thing-it had some old greek monsters id never seen before, so i got to look them up and LEARN.

i couldnt decide between the salmon with orange sauce and white chocolate mashed potatoes or the braised beef...I chose the salmon. Best choice ever! The food was amazing! The entire table had a cocktail (thats a drink once every night for three nights so far...) and it was GOOD.

Met the owner of the restaurant, i wasnt sure if id pass (i never am) but i did with flying colors. All in all a really good night!
