My son started an autism program last week and is doing well at it. He's taking turns, interacting with other kids, and getting tired out.

Yeah, often. It has it's ups and downs. Also, explaining to the various people who help him that he has two biological dads is a pain though. I'm still not sure what to do about it.

I really like my chem lab prof. I'm also doing really well in chem this semester.
I think I'm noticing some physical changes. The're very very slight, but it's something.
As usual, I really like being me.

Rather than confuse him just tell him the truth when he's old enough to assimilate and understand it. Tell him that you're his biological mom, but that you have felt like a man all your life and have now become the man you always were inside. Keep it simple and to the point and he'll get it.

Oh my son understands it no problem. It's the various adult people who help him (OTs, speech pathologists, etc) who keep calling me "she" that I'm not sure how to explain it to.

Gotcha! Sounds like you'll have to be firm and demand that they use your preferred pronouns in front of your son and that anything other than that will be disrespectful to you both.

New shoes!

oh hey, at 6'3" I'm already tall enough, right? Apparently not! I never thought I'd ever wear, lead alone buy high heels. Never say never. Fell in love with them...couldn't say no. How could I say no? These are for extra special occasions (hope I have some!) and amazingly are quite easy to walk in and make my legs look great.  :D

Alright, something very sensible and comfortable too. These are definitely more my speed. Cute!

Also bought a pair of ankle boots and sandals, photos when I manage to take a decent shot of them.

forgot to post last night so heres yesterdays:

got a swag new jacket in the mail, lazed around and relaxed all day, and then went to an overly amazing PFLAG meeting. We had a pastor that had recently changed his way of thinking because he actually felt wrong about condemning gays, an old cis white athiest who is currently making all sorts of backup plans for the trans youth bathroom situation, just in case (he also patted my boyfriend on the shoulder after he told everyone about his surgery, it was great) a couple of parents who have a LONG way to go and their gay (and proud) son...and us, two trans kids who just had the most amazing life changing surgeries of their lives. What an amazing diverse group!

now for todays:
went to our favorite sushi place that we maybe go to too often...did a little window shopping at the mall near the restaurant, i knit and i really enjoyed looking at all the knit sweaters that are in the shops. bought some AMAZING jasmine tea along with some sort of peach explosion type deal...and a new pot with a built in strainer! went to the japanese market and got a yummy strawberry pastry, in honor of the bakerys strawberry fair and some icecream...and now we are home, snuggled up playing pokemon and im getting ready to finish my boyfriends knit fox scarf and play some fallout new vegas in anticipation for our upcoming vegas trip!

i am happy every day and i am so thankful that i have the ability to survive. i worked hard to be this happy and im finally feeling like i can relax and not have to try so hard to see the good in life.
