My sister called and told me she talked to the 2nd shift security guard at th hospital and he said that third shift is hiring. Two security guards had DUI charges and one left I think. He said that they needed more "female" security guards because they hardly have any (ugh). My sister gave the guard my name and number and he (or someone else) is going to take a look at my application. The guard she talked to said I should go back to school because there's no money in criminal justice lol. That's what almost everyone at the sheriff's office I interned at said to me but my sister said it's okay for someone starting out and she agreed. One thing about third shift though is that I have to get my license because they specifically drive around the hospital at night. She said that the security guard was very down to earth, abiet country though.
I asked my sister about the status of the cafeteria jobs there, to which she doesn't know because the lady she usually talk to about that wasn't there.
Wow, if I get a job as a security guard OR even in the cafeteria, it's going to be awkward when I get top surgery and eventually transition since my sister would have been the one who got me in. They will be looking at her like "what the heck?"
I can only take things one step at a time though and just focus on GETTING a job....and a license. I do wonder how I will be percieved after getting my top surgery, while still living as a female though.
