@JennyGirl:  I'll have to ask about the Progestrone pellete, I've just been getting the shots!  I'm only at 8 right now, I hope to up my dosage to 10 or 12 next appointment in mid / late April! :) Thank you so much for the reccomendation, I probably wouldn't have gone without ur good word! He really is a blunt guy, but I like that!  You always know where u stand with him, and always know he's being honest.

@MelissaFox:  It IS expensive, but to me, it's very much worth it- if only for the mood alone.  I was on orals about 2 weeks and the constant shifting moods sucked.  I guess u could say it was like having PMS every day.  Now I get a bit moody right before I have to go in to get my new dosage, but that's ok.  As I said before YMMV but this things are hella more effective than orals.  And as others pointed out, the cost is high only for about 1.5 - 2 years while ur body fully goes thru its second puberty (maybe less if you can get SRS before that).  So if you think about it, going in every 3 months you really probably will only make 7 or 8 trips at a higher cost over that time.  I'm saving a ton on electro by doint it thisway, but again YMMV.

Makes total sense Kristina!

It would be great if you posted some before and after pics since starting the pellets.
Your results sound amazing and it would be helpful and inspiring to see your progress.

I am not a medical doctor, nor a scientist - opinions expressed by me on the subject of HRT are merely based on my own review of some of the scientific literature over the last decade or so, on anecdotal evidence from women in various discussion forums that I have come across, and my personal experience

On HRT since early 2004
Post-op since late 2005

You're welcome hun and lol... So right about the honesty thing with him! It's actually a breath of fresh air. Too many doctors are "all business".

The thing that cracks me up is that he always mentions "feminization for teeth" almost every time I'm in there lately. Then he asks to take a look at my teeth and says that they are probably fine. I swear he has done this like 3 times in a row.. Haha! Either he really believes in this tooth feminization or he's trying to tell me something. I can never figure it out.

The last time I was in there someone was asking to have the pellets taken OUT. I guess they had decided not to transition. Oops! There is no going back with pellets. Once they're in they're in, and there you have 3-6 months of feminization. Poor guy!

If someone tried to take my pellets out I would smack 'em and scamper off! ;)

How does one even go about this "tooth feminization"? I am almost afraid to ask :o

Ugh.  I'm afraid there's no such thing.  FFS covers most of the skeletal discrepancies between male and female faces.  There is no difference in tooth shape between males and females - variance occurs due to genetic background.
You could argue that if the canine (eye) teeth were set in a position so that they are less prominent that would look less "aggressive" and less "fangy" but there are plenty of very attractive girls with very prominent canine teeth (look up someone like Tomomi Itano).
Rounded edges of incisors would be softer in appearance, but that should generally only involve minor contouring of the tooth corners.  Cosmetically speaking, incisor shapes that are similar to your facial shape are generally more pleasing to the eye.

Seriously, if someone says you need tooth feminisation, run away and save your money. =)
Now if they said that your smile was not in harmony with your facial features, well, that's another story altogether.

Back on topic:
It's now around 10 days since my pellet insertion appointment, I removed the sutures myself on day 7, and as I predicted, I've formed a small amount of keloid (scar) tissue in the area.  On the other hand, not having to take E like lozenges (I was taking my dosages sublingual) is a god send, so I've got mixed feelings about pellets right now.
Drifting down the river of life...
My 4+ years non-transitioning HRT experience
Ask me anything!  I promise you I know absolutely everything about nothing! :D

A friend of mine is getting veneers this week to feminize her face even more. Will be interesting to see the changes.
