Hey, girls! Okay, so this is my first post but I admit I have been lurking for a while. So, I wanted to transition when I was a teenager but I let my folks kinda mess things up for me. They became really abusive, kicked me out and I just lost the confidence to do it. A few months ago though I read the "transitioning in your 30's" thread that Adabelle made and it made me feel like maybe it's not too late. I turn 30 in July but I'm starting HRT on Monday (26th of May). No matter how well I "pass" or not I'm still going to transition all the way. However I am kinda curious about how successful my transition will be. I'm not sure how much hormones can do at my age or how much FFS I'll "need" (if any)? So, I'm just wondering what you girls think? I'm 5'9", 150 lbs (but I'm losing weight fast), size 10 feet (women's), smallish hands and although I'm wearing a wig in my photos I have a full head of hair. So... what's the damage?

Jessica-Louise, you're a decade younger than me and I wish was starting with even half of your positive attributes - hair, eyes, body size etc.

You are in no way whatsoever too old for this!

HRT will do amazing things for you, I'm sure, and I hope you'll continue to post updates as things progress.  Once that settles down - give it time - then think about FFS; let the hormones do their thing, because you may find that FFS isn't something you need in order to pass after a year of estrogen.

I have no doubt that starting from where you are, you'll have no trouble passing 100%.  No doubt at all.

Hello
I am a new member to this website.
I have been very bad recently about what and who I am. I have been aware if my trans feelings since between ages 11 and 12, but I have only felt the need to act since age 18, July 2013.
I know that I am a freak, that I am wrong in the head.
I know that the kinder thing for me to do is try to forget all of this.
Anyway, I thought that I might feel better if I send this message.
I wish to know if I could we hope to pass as female, or would I be better off not trying.
I'll try to upload a picture or better reference.

For better reference, I am 5'9" tall and weight 135lbs. I wear small everything and have size 11 shoes. I have not had any hormones at all, I simply hope they can do something for me.
Thank you and please reply.

it would be better if you can move the phone more away from your face and get some angles to the pictures

True, I tried doing the other angle of my face but it didnt show much cause my bangs almost kind of cover up my eye. If i did the other side it really wouldnt show much at all.
There is this picture here that doesnt have a phone in my face as much and its a slightly wider angle

its better but not by much...dat lip bite doe ;P

This is a, Do I pass in a 2 piece life guarding suit and with no makeup. All the managers at work had to cover the pools due to a shortage so here I am lifeguarding.

Thank you all for your kind words
I thought it would be the most kind thing for me to do to give you all my most recent photos: the others were from March 2014.
I'm sorry that I seem sad: I just know that I am messed up. I don't mean to say that anyone who is trans is messed up: those words are meant for myself alone
Even if it is crazy, I hope I can take steps towards transition as soon as possible. However, my father is dealing with his blood disorder at the moment, and that must take precedence: I don't deserve the attention. Besides, I know that this stuff would break his heart.
That, and my mother who knows about me just tells me that masculinity appears in various ways, while my brothers are ignorant of it all, and find the idea of ->-bleeped-<-s f_ing gross
I'll try to stay optimistic.
All my love and respect,
Mortified_Penguin

Yes. You have a very healthy body figure, which is good for your possible feminization. Even without HRT, you can do a lot. You may start by wearing some accessories, such as earrings, bangles and hair pins. Next you may wear mascara and lip gross. Step by step change is always better.

Just do it.

I am a pre-everything mtf. Just wearing mascara, eyeliner and pink lipstick today.

But the hair dresser last week called me 'eonni' (sister), although she saw my face in detail and heard my low voice. I chatted with her for one and half hours while she cared my hair.

I do not care about passing, but could I pass?

Barbie, I think you totally pass.  In fact you remind me of one of my aunties when she was slightly younger.  You apply your make-up very well too, and it looks natural on you.

Thanks! Junebug.

I am rather confident in my body shape, but my face has always been a handicap in presenting as a woman. Still, no plan of HRT. I am also wearing Shiseido sun cream. In summer, I will change to red lipstick.

So I'm getting more and more confident in myself and my ability to pass as of late. At this point I'm ready to start going out as a girl. I feel like I look passable, but I just want to make sure it's not just my imagination.

Pre-everything, no makeup. This is technically my boy mode.

You look extremely female in your boy mode, especially this profile shot.
