Honestly Kelly, tbh just more like me pretty androgynous.  :)

I don't know about that bottom photo at all. :o

Jessica-Louise, you're a decade younger than me and I wish was starting with even half of your positive attributes - hair, eyes, body size etc.

You are in no way whatsoever too old for this!

HRT will do amazing things for you, I'm sure, and I hope you'll continue to post updates as things progress.  Once that settles down - give it time - then think about FFS; let the hormones do their thing, because you may find that FFS isn't something you need in order to pass after a year of estrogen.

I have no doubt that starting from where you are, you'll have no trouble passing 100%.  No doubt at all.

100%! I like those odds. Thanks for the ego boost.

Yeah, I'll post updates every now and then.

You remind me of Misty Day from American Horror Story, I friggin LOVE her!

*googles Misty Day*

Oh nice! I'll take that as a compliment. I can kinda see a vague resembalance myself. We have similar facial bone structures, I think.

I like your avatar btw. I bought a Marceline t-shirt the other day. It's lumpin' awesome!  ;D

So I'm getting more and more confident in myself and my ability to pass as of late. At this point I'm ready to start going out as a girl. I feel like I look passable, but I just want to make sure it's not just my imagination.

I know that feeling of wondering if it's just your imagination or wishful thinking. Your appearance seems kind of gender-fluid, nothing really screams male to me, I think you got something nice to start with. =)

You look extremely female in your boy mode, especially this profile shot.

Yay~ Thank you! I'm still really nervous, but I can take comfort in knowing that there's nothing that would really "out" me.

Hi
Finally got hold of a decent camera to use. I can't get the white balance correct on my phone so it looks like I'm dying in about every pic I take. Also seems to make my face look a bit 'odd'. These ones actually look as I do. Even the last one, sometimes, IRL I go out of focus. Scares people, but I live with it  ;)
Anyway, I'm not wearing any makeup in these. It looks like I have some beard shadow, but almost all of my upper lip hair is gone atm. Looking in the mirror it's more of a reddish line where the hair was until a couple of days ago so it should fade. I'm generally happy with my upper face, it's the lower half that bothers me, I think it's something to do with my chin and cheeks. Chin feels large, cheeks like amorphous blobs. Interestingly, my throat isn't usually that noticeable, or at least isn't noticed by people I talk to and have asked about it.

When I look in the mirror my view changes between female-ish/male-ish/'not aesthetically inclined' depending on lighting/mood/tide.

was feeling okay about this picture. I think I pass but lately I have been really down on myself.

In my imagination I see a fair world,
Everyone lives in peace and in honesty there.
I dream of souls that are always free,
Like the clouds that fly,
Full of humanity in the depths of the soul.

You shouldn't be down, you're a very attractive woman and look more cis female than many I've seen her over the years.

@goldfish- I think your face is quite beautiful and resembles a couple of girls I have known in my life, so I'd say yes, you could pass! The only issue I see is in the bottom left picture where your head is turned a bit- I'm not sure if it's the angle or what but it makes your neck look a bit thick. Though I assume that will go down after a bit of time on hrt! I think you'll do really well though!! -- oh and to me, you chin and cheeks look perfectly feminine- so cute!

@rachael- pretty! i like your style, too. You definitely pass- remember, you are your own worst critic!

I heard someone say once that hair is 60% of passing.  And it looks like you've got a lot of it and a relatively female hairline (I'm jealous).  With hair and makeup I bet you're pretty close, if not there already.

But yeah, a trach shave is likely in your future.

Oh, hell, yeah, I remember THAT FEELING quite well. You seem to be somewhere in Your mid-20ties/early 30ties, if I am not mistaken? I was 35 when I started and if I could go back, I would slap some reason into him and try providing some reassurement.
As for Your pics, it is hard to see details - apart of Your body hair, ofc, but otherwise the only part what did stand out was Your brow and then You are never sure if its bone, muscles, skin or all the above-mentioned alltogether.
You seem to have nice hair length and hairline, as well as overall frontal face-shape, jawline included. Nothing way too bony, very little male gender markers (apart of brow and beard shadow).

Lola, Emily is right, it's not too late.  HRT and laser should do quite a bit for you.

Next I'd recommend cleaning up your eyebrows, and learn what to do with your hair.  A good stylist would know what to do.   Maybe some bangs to hide the brow ridge...at least for now.  Then figure out makeup and overall presentation.

I don't even know what to do about my eyebrows.....I've had impulses to just shave them off completely....
I've always been talked down from it thought.....but thanks for the input....every bit helps!!  :D

Personally I pluck them and use the following link as a guide:

http://www.virtualffs.co.uk/Eyebrows.html

The first time plucking and shaping the brows can take quite a while but after that you just have to maintain the shape by plucking any strays and it's not so bad. Or you could get them professionally plucked at a salon. If you're not fulltime yet you might wanna go for a more gender-neutral shape though?

Yeah...don't do that.  Your best bet is to go to someone who knows what they're doing.  A stylist who knows your situation can shape them so they're cleaner, but not 100% female until you're ready for that.  They can also show you how to do maintenance, but the first step is definitely waxing or threading and shaping by a pro.

Part of being a woman in our culture is knowing about things like makeup and eyebrow maintenance.  If transition is in your future, you'll need to become a student of all things girly -- fashion, makeup, hairstyles, etc.
