Laurelin, I think your friend looks really pretty.  I don't see male at all.

Hello,
I feel as though I'm rather masculine, brow-ridge & chin, but out of the blue the other day a bunch of my female friends started telling me I would make a pretty girl (which made my day), do any of you think I'll have any chance of passing?

http://imgur.com/a/SlVr5

The brow ridge isn't obvious, and I don't think your chin is identifiably male either. You don't seem to have a very dark beard shadow, so that will be very helpful. Your hairline is good too. So start growing the hair and you'll be in good shape.  I've heard people say that hair is 60% of passing, and I think they're right.

When you start presenting female you'll want to thin out and shape your eyebrows (don't do it yourself the first time), and get an identifiably female haircut.

I think HRT could be really good to you.  A bit of fat redistribution and you'll have a good face shape.

So I had posted a couple pictures on here before at 4 months HRT, and now I'll post my 5 month mark. So let me know if I'm passing because I've gotten so much braver and started going out as myself, regardless of what people think.  Using women's restroom and everything.

Me at 4 months.

Me at 5 months.

Haven't posted in this sort of topic in awhile, I just passed 18 months 6 days ago. How am I doing now? I still don't really see any change myself:

Also those are new glasses picked them up yesterday.

Laurelin: Your friend's pics made my jaw drop does that count? She looks great.

CrissyMarie: You look great to me. :)

I'm quite eager to see how HRT does me. I'm probably going to get that going next month.
Ignore my neck bulge...ugh.

Oh I wish I had a long neck like yours, I need to lose weight lol, good luck for when you start I can see great potentials!

Okay.. I am certainly not an expect on anything but wouldn't want anyone to feel they haven't been seen..
Laurelin: The girl in those pics looks just like any pretty girl to me, nice photos.
CrissyMarie: You looked pretty andro leaning female at 4 months, could probably easily cross to 'pretty female' with the right make up.. now? 'You look fabulous' thread -> that way   ;D
Charley Bea: Your features do look very soft; are you wearing any make up? It's hard to tell how you look from such a close-up picture, not sure your hair style is complimentary sorry :/ Not sure what you looked like before to see if there are changes, but you don't really look male either so  :P
Emily29: Well.. you look like a boy with a crazy hair-do  ;D Make-up and/or a smile would change that I am sure.

Other than that, I just wanted to say that due to my disbelief at people's 'you pass!' statements, I went and posted a picture on www.rankmyphoto.com, I figured if I don't pass people would vote me down and send me hateful pm's..

Uh.. yeah, that didn't happen though.. photo went up and my profile/stats can be seen here. The most unexpected thing that happened so far was the 4 guys who tried to hit on me and get my skype lol...

And after some 40 votes, I am apparently a 7 out of 10, and ranked above 82.4% of women on the site. People are crazy  ::)

And yet, I am still 100% sure that I look more masculine in real life and that I don't 'actually' pass.. constantly conscious of beard shadow for one. Ungh.. one of these days I need to do a "who cares what they think" and just be me. That's so hard, though.. the mind can be a bitch sometimes...

People usually keep negative comments about whether you pass to themselves (sometimes even if you ask) unless they feel safe (drunk, in groups) to tell you

I take 'you pass' comments with a grain of salt...especially because YOU have to feel you pass, that makes life so much easier. You can be a supermodel but feel tormented on the inside because you just dont think it'll ever be good enough

So yeah I'm not wearing make up and I'm not on HRT but I changed up my hurr

Yeah, I think you are pretty darned cute right now as you are, so certainly you are only going to get prettier and more feminine once you get on HRT if that's what you're planning. You can make yourself look passable enough now as it is!

Hi everyone,

I've posted here a few times before, hoping some of you can give your opinion on where I am right now. I'm 28, and 9 months and 2 days into HRT. Not anywhere close to full time, but living with my (exceptionally supportive and female) best friend, which has been quite helpful, and I seem to be getting more quizzical looks from people, as well as people looking at my chest (although you can't really see it in these photos I'm up to just fitting a B-cup), and slightly odd reactions from people I haven't seen in a while as they realise there's something different about me. And I can barely lift or carry anything now, which is a bit of a hassle.

So anyway, photos - only wearing eyeliner, mascara, and a bit of lip gloss. Obviously need to do something about my facial hair (although it hides well under concealer, but I couldn't be bothered today) and my eyebrows (and, although you can't really see it here, I've got quite a prominent adam's apple, so need to figure out what to do about that/how to afford to get rid of it), but otherwise:

Any and all opinions are absolutely welcome.

Thank you!

One day soon when I actually 'feel fabulous,' I plan to post a couple of hopefully(if I ever figure out how to use my camera's timer) some full length photos on the "You Look Fabulous Darling" thread. But there's a reason I don't post here; I pass every day and have been passing for over 5 years now. I leave my house without worrying whether I'll pass pass or not. In my early days of going full time sure, I was a bit scared just like anyone would be. But now I'm more concerned with things like do I have enough gas for my trip, or have I forgot something, is my makeup or hair okay, Did I feed the cats, etc. Everyday things a woman thinks about. So I very much agree with the above statement: "YOU have to feel you pass." It makes all the difference and very much makes life much easier. It doesn't matter where your at with hrt: pre, 3 months, 6 months, 10 months, you know when you pass. You'll feel it inside as you confidently walk down the street or through a store.

This IS a great thread though for us to help each other out with suggestions and comments to improve ourselves in both attitudes and looks. Just don't take everything said here to heart. Just my $.02.

Thanks! H&M.

Because of an 18 month waiting list even just for a first appointment at the GIC in Belfast (the only one in Northern Ireland) I'm not going through the NHS, unfortunately, so that's not an option for me. Sucks a bit.

Your very pretty and I love that dress -It looks great on you. My only suggestions are maybe a feathered hairstyle with bangs to frame your face better and some eyebrow shaping would do wonders for you.

Hope it helps.
