I tried a no makeup pic. Im guessing im more on the femme guy area.

This is my first time posting in this thread, but I just wanted to say that it does my heart good to see how lovely you ladies all look! I hope I'll be able to come close to you when I do post my first image.  :)

This photo is wonderful, Ashlee! You have a great look that is androgynous but leans much more towards a cis female's appearance--which is all the more remarkable because this is a no-makeup picture. Certainly more femme than femme guy. Really inspiring--because I still have to deal with beard shadow, I always feel compelled to wear makeup to cover it, and I figure if I'm wearing foundation to cover it, I might as well wear a bit more to help it all blend in, etc.

Wow, your facial features really remind me a lot of Joe Harwood which is one of my all time favorite makeup artist:

You look great without the wig--your face has a soft shape to it, and your eyes look great. And I second what Antonia said about Harwood. I had seen two videos of his a few weeks ago, and your face reminded me of his in a good way, as well.

No picture to show you this time but just something that I thought of

I dont want to make this sound offensive and I honestly dont know if it does but on my ambigious, more boymode days (which are getting less, but sadly I am not fulltime) I get the feeling I pass as an Genderqueer/FtM more than anything else, mostly due to the breast development and clothing style

It's odd

Yes, Vivian, bigger breasts will do that -- for sure!

:)

I am 2 months on HRT now, and still in male mode for work, but the "girls" are getting bigger (still small, but getting bigger).

Hey, you are from the Netherlands, yes?  Many years ago I travelled to Den Haag and Amsterdam by plane, and I rode the trains around Nederlands a lot.

I went to Maastricht in the far southeast several times.

I remember one word well in your language
SINASAPPLESAP

(Sorry if my spelling is bad)

I like orange juice, so that is one word I learned.

Your eyes are so great that I think even in boy mode you probably are attracting attention.

Thanks!

I like the black and white striped dress with the white top. You look good in those tops with the fitted bodice. The leggings and heels are a nice touch too. I like the flowered skirt too, nice legs on you btw. You like me have to work on the guy tummy, but not too bad, keep it sucked in. Dark facial hair shadow Oops! Other than that nice statement!

Cute outfits.  As to what gives you away...definitely the beard shadow and thick eyebrows.  It also looks like you're not wearing any makeup, so maybe that's a place to start.

One thing that could help...I usually wear a nice pair of feminine glasses even though I have perfect eyesight.  It definitely helps in the presentation.

wow, thanks! Yeah, it was late at night, so i decided to forego the makeup just to take it off, i'll post a fully dolled up picture later, and i'll see if I can do something about the eyebrows.

As for the glasses, I wont be able to get anything graded on such short notice (I'm blind without them), but are mine "unisex" enough?
  •

katiej

You weren't wearing them in the pictures, so I couldn't say if yours would help.  Mine are red and femme shaped, so they actually draw the eye away from my bear shadow which still shows even with a ton of makeup :(

Actually, I am wearing them! They're just frameless lol, I specifically took close ups to make sure my "face" features would pass lol, I suppose the fact that they're hard to see helps, rather than masculine ones? Speaking of glasses, I will buy a pair when I get home, based on my face, are there any designs/colours you can reccomend? I fortunately get to work from home often, so I like to dress up when I do (hence my choice of attires :) ) so glasses to go with that would be nice :D

LOLZ  I didn't even notice them.  Woops.

In that case, let's see you with some makeup and then maybe I can take my foot out of my mouth and actually be helpful.  :)

And it's hard to say what frame shape or color would look good on you.  But there are lots of girly styles out there...go try on a bunch and see what works for your face.

That pic is me month 7 on HRT and 1 month into my RLE. I started my transition at the age of 30.

Hi, everyone.  :) This is my first time posting an image on here, and I confess I'm more than a bit nervous. I'm having trouble with my family regarding my being trans*, though most of my extended family has no idea because they've only seen me in boy mode. I'm hoping my girl mode images are different enough that they wouldn't recognise them immediately (unlikely as it is that they would come across this site), though I may take down photos I post after a while just to be safe. But I wanted to post these to see where I am so far. I am pre-HRT; I tend to go out in girl mode like this when I am away from my family. I'm still learning a lot about how to dress, walk more femme, etc. I've only really begun presenting in girl mode as of a month ago, and only a few close friends know at present. I also hope I've posted these correctly. Could I pass so far?

So far you are doing great Gabrielle, when I pulled up your pics I didn't see any maleness. Your biggest hurdle (and mine) is probably unconscious behaviors and posture. I'm right there with you on that :/

Good luck! *hugs*

I am using a much less err.. aggressive makeup regime today to try it out. Also trying out a headband with the wig to see if I can't get it to look a bit more natural. How do you think I'm doing? Do I need to go back to the old foundation? I really like the new one better.

Also obviously having a bit of trouble with my facial hair, I need electro stat!
Have not started HRT, still need to find a psych and get a referral :( .

Also, I would kill for some new clothes. Fingers crossed on the new job from my client I'm waiting to hear back on.

When it comes to makeup and foundation, sometimes less is much better. I really like this look and though you're new I can assure you that you have the beginnings of a really terrific looker!
