Wow, well you certainly fit the bill of andro but I wouldn't think twice if you presented female. I can see what you mean about similar looks. My Austrian ancestry has some distinct features, I think.

Yup, I was quite surprised to notice that resemblance too. Maybe we share some sort of trans-gene :). And I am 5'9, but it used to be somewhere around 5'10 in my twenties.

I got some really nice comments on the first pictures that I posted 2 days ago but the reality is that even tough I almost pass when I'm styled I still see a boy in the mirror when I wake up and I'm not wearing make up, accessories or my clip in extensions. It's so frustrating to clean up your face and be confronted by the real you which doesn't look like you would want it to :-(

So, that's me. A styled pic again just for comparison:

I know how you feel--often, when I wipe the makeup covering up my beard shadow, I feel sad because I see the most obvious evidence of my male-ness again.

But you're a really beautiful woman in the photos when you present as one, and you are a woman even when you take off the makeup. Always remember that. If you are a woman, then that is the real you.  :)

Okay. Not really a serious post, but here I am. No makeup or anything. Just a ferret.

One image is a bit blurry..., but I decided to try to do makeup for my first time, but had limited stuff. I could probably trim my fuzzy brows but im pre HRT, you think with some hrt i could pass?

You're looking pretty good so far, Mikaela! I think you are close to passing as is. With HRT, there's little question to me that you'd pass even better, but you definitely have some great feminine features already.

You have a very soft pretty face, gorgeous eyes, and what looks like a thick head of your natural hair. I think your pretty now. You'll just get prettier on hrt!

Thank you for the kind words you are very sweet.

Although I kind of regret posting them now as I looked at them and all I see is a ugly old guy. Which is upsetting, but I kind of need to start looking at my options and what I can do. The issue for me is I see very manly features and when I ask on here for feedback to get started it is hard to understand the intent or lack of replies, which in my mind is my issue as I sadly lack any confidence.

Whilst I am loosing weight and trying to eat healthier, which is great I am still struggling with how I look and it is horrible. I woke up today and looked at the picture and almost burst into tears over how bad I look. I guess it is a case of "woe is me" and a bit of "drink some cement and harden up princess".

A straight line may be the shortest distance between two points, but it is by no means the most interesting

^^ You're off into the playoffs already with relative androgony. Just lose teh shadow. No kidding.

Evelyn K ain't about teh beowshiet. HRT + You = Definite Win.

@dahl

Looking very fem for someone pre-hrt. No real masculine skeletal features on your face spring to mind. Slight facial hair shadow, but some concealer or more long term a few sessions of LHR should sort that out and finally tidy your brows, you're good to pass with minimal to zero make up.
Nobody's perfect ...   I'll never try,
But I promise I'm worth it, if you just open up your eyes,
I don't need a second chance, I need a friend,
Someone who's gonna stand by me right there till the end,
If you want the best of my heart, you've just gotta see the good in me.

Everyone looks lovely, :) dahl I think everybody's wrapped up what I think already! You really have nothing to worry about.

Myself, I am exactly 1 month with hormones today, please be kind, as long as people don't think I'm hideous I'll be satisfied.  :P Definitely growing my hair longer.

Not hideous. The thing that works for you, I think, is that being thin gives you a great canvas to work with. My GT said yesterday that 6-9 months in are when changes happen for most.

I think an eyebrow threading could do a lot for you. Also, avoid the Mary Kate and Ashley smile (by that I mean the slightly pursed lips + toothless smile thing). It looks very feminine, but smiles look best when they're natural.  ;D

Okay okay, so... first of all, I'd like to say-

thank you thank you thank you so much, good golly miss molly, and... kittyface.

:3!

I was very nervous about posting my picture, mainly because I never really seek out opinions on how I look, if I fall into the female category upon first impressions- because I'm afraid of reactions. I've been 'mistaken' as female before, and in my adolescence it bothered me- mostly because it bothered my family. I didn't understand what the term transgender, transsexual, or even any other term falling into the lgbt category. I didn't know who I was, so I followed basic principles of what a man should be.

It just... now, it feels so so good when I read these comments. For some reason I was dreading what was going to happen, but I acted on impulse, took a photo of me, uploaded, and knocked myself out to sleep. I'm so happy that I FINALLY posted. These sweet, sweet replies made my day and actually solidified my confidence. Really. Now I'm even more eager to begin my hrt transition, and see where that takes me.

You girls are stunning in every possible way, and I look forward to growing into myself, hand in hand with you all. Thank you so much, you dreamboats.

kittyfacex2. :3

Welcome! You may want to introduce yourself here: https://www.susans.org/forums/index.php/board,8.0.html You're personality certainly stands out, and I hope to see more of you here.

Btw, Jamboe, sorry if I came off as rude, it's just a little pet peeve of mine. You're still so early on hormones, so there's a lot of room for improvement. You're pretty now, and I can see you being seriously gorgeous in the future. I think you'll hardly need FFS.

^ Me and my face. <3

Whoo! *dies dramatically with lazorz*

... omg I seriously posted a picture. I've... never done that! laik. serrrrrz.

Okay, I'm sorry about the spaz- I'm not normally like this... but I suppose normal is relative, so the universe would probably dictate I'm a crazy wildebeast-person-werecat. lemur.

This is a raw portrait taken with my lousy selfy photography skills.

by the way, I'm not really asking for a pass or fail because clearly I have ze stache and other things- I just thought to post a pre-hrt picture of me, and from there see how time beautifies me. Yes. Jajajajaj.

Oh yes very nice. Hrt will make you into a beauty.

I hope you do to....

Also what about my tattoos? Are they gonna be a problem? And I posted the dreaded boy mode pics. I weighed 265 in those, the real me girl photos I am close to 230 now.
I feel like a butterfly emerging from her cacoon, I'm finally starting to live.

Not at all  :), I truly appreciate your advice, definitely agree with the Olsen twins style smile in particular, though I unfortunately do it a lot... there's actually a photo of me as an 8year old in the next room with the exact same smile! Eyebrow threading is definitely something I'll be researching soon. Thanks!

Ive been waiting to see jamboe appear somewhere here, I remember our chatter in music thread: diverse and fun!

The person behind it looks nice to, no doubt you'll shine more if you give yourself and HRT some time

Good seeing you :)

There are some pictures here of me aswell, easier to dig through my post history if you are curious. Warning, I am exotic weirdness :P
