TheQuestion

One of the first pictures I ever took when I first realized that I was trans a year and a half ago or so... I've gotten much, much better at make-up.  I just sort of smeared it on at that point.  I honestly wasn't trying to look trampy or anything, but it ended up that way... I know, I know. The shirts lifted because I wanted to see how wide my upper rib cage looked.  Turtlenecks seem to make you look broader.  The corset didn't really do all that much either.  It was pretty loose and jumping all over the place.  When I'm 145lbs or lower I'm basically shaped like that, almost.  I was probably 155 there, no HRT yet... and still no HRT :-\  I'm hoping with staying at a lower weight, hrt, and waist training I can keep the shape.  Mostly I just have no other pics and I don't feel like shaving and everything to take new ones right now.  I hate having facial hair, but I hate shaving too often.  I have really sensitive skin and it cut's easy.  Probably starting electrolysis next week, and HRT :)  Do I pass in that pic/do my hands look huge?  I think this is the 1st time I've showed my full body and height, granted a little obscured by the corset, but basically it didn't do much, use your imagination as far as how my stomach/waist looks.  Again, sorry for the trampish looking pic, but it was pretty early on in my realizing I was trans.  I was still in that over dramatic posing phase...

You look very female  :) Soft Butch  ???

English is not my first language  ;)

Tnx, Paula :) And soft butch apparently is a lesbian sub-group who like to dress up more andro than masculine and dont cut their hair too short (I am quite ignorant with regard to lesbian culture, so my apologies if I said something stupid or insensitive, or both).

@TheQuestion

YOU DO LOOK FINE! And now please stop obsessing about details (cause that's were devil is). Your hands ARE NOT big. Your eyebrows and facial features (as much as can be distinguished) are quite delicate. Your waist and middle body... I have the same issue and I am not even close to being 155 lbs. You wanted some criticism? OK - I am quite sure that in due time You will find and and improve Your individual style, but we all start somewhere. And horizontal stripes will always make You look broader - it's not the turtleneck, its them stripes. Turtleneck, in its turn, can make Your jawline to stand out and for some transwomen this will cause an issue (jawline and chin-wise). Not Your case, as much as I can see...

You look so much alike with a female friend of mine.. it is almost scary.. o.o. Like, the first time your avatar popped up I wondered what was going on here :P. I believe you had a close up of your face till today or so o.o?

Just realized you replied to my photos, thank you :D!

Emily, if your going for andro then you totally got it, but I'd say you could easily do full female if you wanted.  I'd think you were just a sporty woman if you passed me by.

Yes, I have clones everywhere - male, female and feline alike :D My previous avi had a close-up, indeed, but I grew tired of that ugly mug and I had changed a bit too ever since I took that pic...

TheQuestion - I just modified one of my previous messages to address Your picture :).
And yes, I might try a more female look, but I do have my own issues which prevent me at the moment. I am fine by myself, but whenever I am next to genetic woman, I would dwarf her with my bulk immediately.

TheQuestion

Thanks Emily, I took that pic down though, it looked trashy.  I don't really like presenting myself like that.  I'll do it again with a little more of a conservative look eventually.  That's good to know about the stripes.  I've been wearing stripes almost exclusively, literally the only two women's tops that I own are striped.

TheQuestion

and don't worry, I'd likely dwarf you if we stood next to one another.

I am 5'9", 72 kilos, 38 band and can do two pull-ups, 25 push-ups and pull off really mean stare.

I'm 6'0", 38 band (maybe the smallest I can get), range from 135lbs-160lbs (bout 150lbs right now - 70.30kilos), can do a TON of pull-ups and can do 100 consecutive push-ups (probably down to 50 or so since I haven't been doing them for about a year) and staring or not you really wouldn't want to mess with me based on how athletic I look.  I'm literally a freak athlete.  I'm jealous of your bulk.

Oh, my shoulder are somewhere in 16" 3/4 and judging from their looks there is not much to loose anymore. I still have over the top trapezius and upper back muscles (I used to lift 32 kilos single-handed with 12-13 reps). I can also store a lot of air, puff and look one size bigger :D.

But dont You worry that much - HRT will do a lot to Your bulk, except it might take some time. About 1.5 years ago I was like this http://i.imgur.com/6XRo3zY.jpg now I am not even close to that. Except from the attitude...

Mine are almost 17.5" across with not much to loose and I have pro wrestler traps and back muscles and I use to bench about 114 kilos (with both hands granted).  Trust me, you've likely got nothing on me, and that's great for you.  If everyone on this site were thrown into a cage and asked to fight it out, I'd say that I'd be a big problem for basically everyone on here.  I literally could have played professional baseball, or at least had a chance at playing semi-pro if I hadn't stopped in college.  I'm like really, really, really decorated in a number of sports and that totally sucks.  I'm thin, but I'm pure muscle and just hoping it all softens up.
  •

TheQuestion

I've read shoulders on an average female are about 17-17.5" though, so I'm not too concerned about mine and you totally should be concerned about your.  Being taller than average we'd have broader than average shoulders for a woman anyway.

Sammy

Those muscles will soften up - it just takes a lot of time and patience and low-proteine diet :). I posted a linkie in my previous reply so You might get the idea. I was not particularly bulky - around 82 kilos - but most of that were muscles. I once had a misunderstanding which ended with some grappling and it took 5 guys to pin me down and hold there, cause I got really upset and angry :D.

TheQuestion

Yeah, I'm about to drop down to about 61 kilos to start HRT.  I stay all muscle, but they do get really small.  Hoping once the get smaller through weight loss and I begin HRT that they'll have a hard time building back up and soften at a smaller size.  I'm really hoping my traps and back muscles go down, along with the muscle down the sides of my rib cage.  I hope I can get down to a 36 band.

That sounds like a perfect plan! Upper arms will thin out first and traps and back muscles... I am still struggling with those areas in 16 months of HRT, but I was 69 kilos when I started HRT (just could not wait any longer) - if I knew, I would have waited till I was 65.

Ummm, ok, my english was not up to that :).  Means, that outfit sends a strong butch vibe?  ??? /puzzled/

My apologies, English is too flexible some times, when it comes to word meanings...   In this case "slight" meant "to offend".   I was attempting to say you look butch but in a positive way (you look good), since "butch" is often used as a degrading term in America.

I want to try this as well D:!

I am pre-HRT, starting in November :D! The picture with earrings in is for when I am with friends/at home, to shy to go out already with big earrings drawing attention > _ <. The others is how I go trough my daily life :D.

Thing is that I am afraid to use a feminine voice at the moment because people will just look at me with a wtf face why a feminine guy would use a woman's voice x_x.

Now I hope these images won't look gigantic.. I don't know how to change that x____x

Hun you already look great. Earrings aside, Is that you usual style? if so its awesome that you already feel so comfortable presenting your self in such a feminine way...

Im kinda jealous of your fashion sense! You are going to be an absolute stunner after you start hormones good for you.

Emily, I think you pass as female to me.  The progress from the before picture is very compelling!  I've had very good control over my weight just by controlling my diet extremely well.  Usually I just drink lots of water when I'm hungry to fight off hunger and eat small amounts of food throughout the day.
