I'm no expert at makeup. but from what I've learned sofar it is mainly used to hide features you don't want to show as much. or bring others out. (sorry if I'm horribly mistaken this is just my experience!) If you're going out and wearing your best jeans or such.. I'd suggest darker eyeshadow. Don't overdo it and go goth. Just darker. Look up how to do smokey eyes on youtube. Use lots of dark browns and some hazels for highlights to match your complexion. I really have no idea what you're using for makup.. but I like the Revlon liquid foundations for contouring (not too expensive like Mac or Smashbox but gets the job done). Also look up how to do contouring for transgendered pplz. Lots of how to's on this around youtube. Anyways.. you're hair is gorgeous. Keep looking great

I think you look great, you look quite natural which is nice. Definetly ramp it up a bit though for going out. There's a huge difference between night and day makeup. When I was learning makeup I booked myself into my local M.A.C. Store and they went through a really nice smoky eye look. I hadn't even started to transition and looked not even 10% as femme as you do but was good to learn from professionals. And you get the value of the session in makeup too. But definetly the smoky eyes for night time, and a good cover to even everything out. Love to see how it comes out Tuuliu

Wow Ademie, you look great even before hrt. Love your hair, just starting to grow mine now, it's a slow process though 

Thanks for your feedback, I'm growing my hair out and for the next couple on months I'll be in that awkward in the middle stage, it should be where I want it in another year or two, I don't really accessorize much in my daily life because I cycle everywhere but I certainly do when I go out. Barbie and Rotika, thanks for being honest about pass-ability and the hair, I prefer getting things straight up without the sugar coating

I might do another vanilla status check in a couple of months when the hormones have had more time.

Wow thanks for the sweet words & tips Rotika & Breezy I'll have some practice with smokey eyes (which was the first thing actually I wanted to learn with makeup!) and then see when I'll have the opportunity to go out next. I was sort of not confident enough last time to go all in, but this was a huge step for me: first time out in visible makeup. As for foundation and contouring I have little to no experience but maybe that could work in night makeup. So I looked up contouring for transgender and that gave me some nice ideas. To go for a makeup bar in the public I'm still too shy, but I'm thinking I could find a studio that does it in private. When I can afford it, being unemployed is a pain.

You have nice facial features Antonia. The profile hair length seems to fit you! So when do we get to see pics from the makeup session?

Youre very welcome darling. As far as mot having much experience though, just have a girls night and watch such movies at home and play with your makeup. I try to do this once a week. For practice. I might actualy write a thread about this soon and see what everyone has to say about it lol.. You'll probly all find my situation quite funny. Anyways.. You can be as shy as I am.. Post more pics soon! Gals like you give me courage to continue working on myself. I'm not just saying that either. I come to this page when all i can think about is whether or not i might be beautiful if i started hrt. You ARE beautiful. Not everyone van say the same. Dont coop yourself up. Get out. There's so much you can do with contouring, but seems like an art so takes a bit to get good

Hmmm......this latest batch of photos is making me increasingly jealous. Antonia, you are gorgeous. And a general catch-all to the young ones....grrr. Your results 1 month into HRT is what some of us hope to attain after a year or two. Congratulations. And grrrr.

M.A.C is a brand of cosmetic and whilst it's quite expensive, I find the cover I get from their concealers and foundations are just amazing. In Australia their in most David Jones or Myer stores, I presume Macy's in the US? But they have a beauty bar where you can get a makeover, and they provide tips so very useful. I won't plug them anymore, just do a Google search and you'll find them
