Paula, I got to take a look at your photobook and, I think you are passing very well and making unbelievable progress.

What's up with me today?  I got my 2nd laser session on Saturday and now I notice a lot of big obvious square shaped patches on the sides of my face!  Unfortunately, I have  a lot of dark hair so it really stands out lol.  Hopefully things don't get too out of control as I'm not really out anywhere except for my wife.  I could probably use some advice as how to maximize the effectiveness of laser.  Is laser counterproductive while still having testosterone?

liar liar, pants on fire...  :)

Thank you, so much, hon!!  For so long, I never thot I would even be able to pass in a dark room..  But, now.. well, just came back from Walmart, to get my finesteride refill, and some lemons for tea, amd was gendered correctly, by the cashier.. I think she had some really big smudges on her glasses... must have...  :)

NO seriously Paula.  You really surprised me here!  Jealous here, it will be at least a year or two before I can be fulltime.

I think I won't be able to start HRT for another 8 months or so.  Currently my timeline is like, do laser every month for 8 months, then start HRT and do 4 more laser sessions while on it.  Does anybody think this is reasonable?

D.. again, thanks for the compliment..  I know,  in person, ,standing in front of you, no, I wouldn't.. across the room, yeah, ok..   I sent off several pix to  Dr.. Spiegel, in Boston, to look and say.. "I would recommend this, and.. I would do that.. and you should do this.. "etc so, I'll see what he recommends for FFS ..

As for laser.. I've had only two, as well.. under my nose, is where its most noticeable, and hardest to shave..  are you using a razor, or elec shaver?  I was using a shaver for the longest time, but last couple weeks, using disposable razors.  Takes longer, and you have to be careful not to cut/nick.. but I love the feeling afterwards !!! Plus, being a closer shave, easier to hide the darker areas with coverup.. counter the blue color with orange lipstick, very thin, but orange counters blue..

As for being counterproductive, yeah, as T will continue to grow the hairs, you'll be fighting them doubly with the laser.. you'll have to drive your T down, and begin Estrogen, that will slow the hair growth, as well as make it begin to grow out thinner, finer, lighter on the rest of you.

Yeah I can cover with makeup just fine!  I have a few pics back somewhere in this thread, and yes I use shick extreme 3 disposable- highly recommended.

Like many here, I contemplate ways to drive down the T all the time, but there is not really any good safe way to do it without HRT, but that will be awhile as my therapist is very much a GK.

As far as cover up, I actually have some legitimately orange concealer!

very good to hear, sorry you have to wait so long to begin to drive down the T..  I think, that, once you begin Spiro..  the laser wont so much, be a two steps forward, one step back, thing..  And good thing on the coverup.. I used, (if I dont get into trouble) herbals, T-inhibitors, for abt 7months, that laid the foundation for the script hormones to go to work even faster.  Yes, they were effective.. very, really quelled my dysphoria and calmed me down, but the physical results were really welcome also!  And since they were bio identicals, "supplements", i did not have to report them to anyone.

Ooops, I should have said, this is my roommates closet!  She took me in when I had ti find a place to live.. only came in to use the mirror!   I -wish- this was my closet!  :)

Only looked through the last couple of pages of this but don't see anyone who's not passable or who wouldn't be if they are pre-HRT.

Mermaid, can't believe you are pre anything you look like a good looking female to me. I'm a year older than you so comparable to me I think you're pretty lucky and you'd look amazing!

I guess I'm more interested in seeing photos of people pre anything and not trying to look female at all to see if I would have any chance. Feels like I don't really but when I saw you're old guy pic lemon ice, it gives me a lot of hope, hope that doesn't offend you, I only say it because the way you look now is again like a good looking female!

I'm barely out to myself and only at the beginning of trying to understand what is going on for me-had my first therapy session yesterday-but I'm learning that if I can get rid of a lot of fear that I have I'll be able to make a clearer judgement about how I'm really feeling. So I really want to post some pics of me now to see what people would think about my chances, but not sure if that would be a good idea seeing as if anyone found out about me at this stage I'd be pretty mortified. Think I'm being paranoid?

OMG Jasmine you are truly a beautiful young woman!  You should have no regrets what so ever!
I only hope that HRT and FFS will help me get to look 1/10 as beautiful.

you are pretty liz. Its a difficult thing to pass with bed head and no make-up but you pull it off. I would love to see what you look like with your hair styled or some make-up though

so... do I pass?

Uh - I think I said as much right after your original post and photo. I happen to be an Asian girl aficionado having spent 2.5 years in the far east, so consider that your Auntie Shan knows what she's talking about sweetie!

So I haven't been here for a while, since I was told that I should wait until I've been on hormones for a while before I post here (and I've just been a bit more confident lately :) ). So here's my two month progress!

I've decided that I'm never going to get FFS, since I don't think I'll need it, but I'd like to know if there's anything I can do to pass better (makeup, eyebrows, etc.) Thanks :)

For some reason you look night and day different and much more female than your earlier photos, Looking rather pretty there sister! I can't comment on make-up, looks like you have your act together.

Thank you, Miss Shantel :) I think physical hormone changes have a lot to do with it, but I think the change in my disposition and confidence are the biggest change :)

I think you're really pretty! And as far as advice for make-up there are a ton of tutorials online or you could do a consultation.  They will help you figure out what makeup works for your face shape and skin tone.  I did that and even though the consultation cost some money I was able to spend less overall because it helped me figure out what works for me.

I agree that you don't need ffs though :)
