Hi there, young Polish lady!
Congratulations on seeing it through and my very best wishes for a trouble free and speedy recovery. A Chett girl myself, like Jojo, I strongly advise that you go with the flow and adhere to the instructions you are given re. medication, dilations and giving yourself time to recover. I (mostly) did and, even if we are all different, I can attest to the fact that I had zero problems through my recovery. I was operated on the 20th August and haven't seen a doctor since getting home...
One of the exceptions I would see to following the instructions regard HRT. Because of hot flashes and generally feeling so crap I couldn't sleep, I went back to a low dose of E (only) just a little over a week after my surgery. I felt much better after that and the end of my stay in Bangkok was a breeze, feeling more like a holiday than anything else.
The other exception regards the dilation regime. For the first few weeks I would definitely advise that you do as instructed but, as you heal, you will find your own way. For example, I quickly switched to 2 dilations a day as 3 times was making it very difficult to get anything done. I also added bigger dilators to the one's provider by Chett, the Soul Source N° 3 & 4 dilators which are what I am using now. These add an extra 6mm in diameter compared to Chett's biggest dilator which is still pretty small.
You will have plenty of time for all of that over the weeks ahead but since I'm no longer here very much, I thought it was best to get it out now.
Again, wishing you all the best!
Donna
