I found out that I am to be paid a £2000 bonus this month. I am not quite sure how that works as it's for dedication to getting my job done, which I thought was why I got paid anyway. Anyhow, researching how to turn my computer into a recording studio...

Rosie
Well that was fun! What's next?

Keep it up Kate, our journey is made of lots of little steps, and you look great.  I hope you were taking notes...

As for me, I'm still floating after my first visit to start HRT.  Although I've not started it yet, it's a step closer, only a blood draw and 8 weeks to go.
Hugs,

Thanks!

Everyone's process for HRT is different it seems. But I think once you get the baseline blood they will decide on your course of action. Congrats on your first visit! That's a really big step. Just remember If you're in the US and your insurance doesn't cover your pills you can get them as cheap generics from Walmart and I think target and Costco too, I just filled 90 pills for $10 tonight.

And yes I took some mental notes. The artist was very thorough though. They even used the color iq tool to match my foundation. I may go for something a bit warmer the next go around though. I have been watching how some of the moms at my kids school do their makeup and I'm aiming tor that.

Thank you Kate, that's good to know, as I can go to our local Walmart and not have to drive 70 miles one way (my dr was 180 mile away.)  I think I'll start with the oral form, but my Dr told me she prefers to move to a different form of intake and she really examined the location of my liver very closely.  At this point I'm leaning to injectable E and oral spiro, once I begin the full dose.
Hugs,

-Alana

p.s. I love that shade of pink lipstick, very nice and feminine on you.

I also had my first appointment for HRT today.  I will get my blood work back early next week and I have a follow up appointment the first week of March.  I think I am going to start with the injectable E and because of my age and low T level I should be able to get by on Avodart and Finasteride to keep my T level low.  I may be able to get some additional head hair growth because of the Finasteride   :D

After 12 days straight working, having a day off to blob and catch up on some sleep is a good thing.

So long and thanks for all the fish

My water's been out for days, so I've grown rather scruffy (yech!). While on patrol, I stopped in a restroom to blow my nose, and I noticed while looking in the mirror - with the paper towel covering the lower part of my face, what I saw was 100% female. It was like the scruffy "dude" that was just there had completely vanished. Put a smile on my face and a little bit of a spring in my step.
To strive to reach the apex of evolution is folly, for to achieve the pinnacle is to birth a god.

When the Stryker fires, all turn to dust in its wake.

Got my last package of my new wardrobe and had a great time trying everything on, mixing and matching etc. no bad choices. Also, I love leg shaving day! I used to not shave, ever, because I figured it was a dead give away, but now I don't care. Though I am still hairy armed, one step at a time. I need to decide just how obvious I want to be how soon. I want to talk to folks (therapist, support group)in real life before I go jumping into the void! But the wait is killing me! My first appointment is a couple weeks away and snow has shut down the support group 'till next month.

I used to hate being unclothed, I showered maybe once a week. Now I want to be clean and hanging out listening to riot grrrl in my underthings, doing maintenance... I love it! I still don't like much of my body but I feel like I have gained respect for the person inside. I'm just so happy moving forward! I want more and I want it now!

My new Climara patches sure are nice & easy. I see my physician tomorrow & was going to ask or push for an implant. But kinda happy with these 7 day patches. Everything else seems to going well. Life is good. I feel & look a little better each day. Have fun, girl friends.

Jessika

My family and some friends came to visit for the weekend and they got to meet "Jessika" in person.
My Sister loved it. She did my make-up for the first time in our lives. My Mom was ecstatic when she saw me. She turned to my Step-Dad and asked him "So how do you like our new daughter?" I grinned from ear to ear. hehe.

Spent the whole weekend in Girl mode. I felt great.

Of course the "he, his, Male first name" popped out here and there but they were trying, it happens. After all, after 48 years it's all new to them. :)

I feel pretty good. VA is giving me the runaround with HRT (Since I DO have my Letter already thou). Trying to get an Endo approved is nerve wreaking.
I'm pushing them thou in my own way. :)

Visiting a couple old friends that I tend to see once every month or three when I go get my mail. Saying goodbye felt like saying goodbye to a piece of my past. I left at peace with the notion that when I see them in the spring it will be as a more authentic me.
