So firstly I finally had my appointment after waiting a few months. Just got my blood work done and all (lot quicker than I thought it would be). And I'm meeting again in a couple of weeks to give my consent! Needless to say, I'm stoked.

I always have questions, I know. Just wondering when did you start passing regularly and when was the first voice drop.
I know I already asked two questions but if you have any tips on diet/exercise I would appreciate it (I'm kind of a scrawny guy atm).

Thanks.

my voice dropped about 3 months in. i always passed but there's people who haven't who can probably chime in there but i think it has more to do with genetics. as for exercise you would probably want to bulk so take in more calories. it won't be hard to do that with testosterone because your hunger can increase like crazy. just make sure you aren't over eating to where you get obese and not bulking. you should google bulking for beginners and it should help you gain muscle and become less "scrawny."

Pre-T, I already "kinda" passed, Ive always looked very androgynous and always got the confused "sir...errr...ma'am?". Once my voice got a little lower, however, I 100% of the time get sir'd, strangely enough even when they see my ID when buying beer (it still has my legal name and says female.)

My voice never had a sudden "drop". Just a gradual decrease in tone. It became noticeably lower around 2 months, and is still slowly changing now at 9 months.

As for exercise, exactly like invisiblemonsters said. Increase your calories by about 200-500cal above your BMR (basal metabolic rate) a day. This can be found out easily from online calculators. Remember to factor in calories burned through exercise or activity during the day too, and add that amount to your BMR. Eat at least 0.8 to 1gram of protein per day, per pound of body weight. For instance I weigh about 130lbs and eat between 100-130g of protein per day. This is easily done with protein shakes, as they usually contain 25-30g per scoop. If you have never lifted weights before, don't worry. All the information you need to get yourself started can easily be found for free on YouTube and bodybuilding.com. Bodybuilding.com has a huge exercise database that lists nearly every possible exercise for each muscle group, and has video tutorials on how to do them. Now they are obviously a business and will make it seem as if you need a million supplements to get results, you don't however. Protein powder isn't even needed, but it makes it a whole lot easier (and cheaper) to eat a high protein diet. I'd recommend just a good whey protein powder and perhaps a multivitamin, that's all. Don't waste all kinds of money on supplements, unless you want to. I buy preworkouts for the energy, and I take a multivitamin, fish oil and glucosamine for my joints (bad joints thanks to the army).

Also the key thing to remember is that changing your body takes time, you won't see results from working out or the testosterone overnight. Patience is key in this process, I know it sucks and you want it all now, even I have to remind myself to stay patient. But you will get there. Just remember, this is not your final form! Lol

1. Passing is all over the place for me. About 85% Pre-T, 100% around 1 month, then mysteriously dropped to 0%. Now I'm back up to I'd say 60-70% right now, but it fluctuates daily. My passing has been all over the place.
2. My voice started changing from very early on, but I think the first noticeable drop was around 2 months. However, in that first two months, it did definitely drop still.

I think the time frame as to when a person starts passing has more to do with how "male" they looked prior to starting T.  I really don't think that gathering data on when other guys started passing will give you as accurate data as looking at how often you currently pass yourself, pre-T (assuming your haircut and clothing is already male).  That is just my opinion.

I started out with low T and had a gradual drop, as aero indicated.  When I went to the dose that put me into average male range, I had a serious voice drop after two months.  Then I started being read consistently as male.  Prior to T I was read as male 85% of the time.
