" Rush Limbaugh took to the airwaves to weigh-in on the gender transition of Caitlyn Jenner, self described conservative, and urged his fellow Republicans to turn their backs on her. "We should not be celebrating this ,  we should not be lionizing this we should not be encouraging this, " said Limbaugh on his radio show Wednesday."

Does Rush even believe half the crap he spouts?  Considering his history of contradictions, I highly doubt it.  I'm sure he'd insist the moon was made of cheese and the Earth is flat if there were a big enough paycheck involved.

But, if you want to make an even bigger ass of yourself, go right ahead.

Rush, if you have a way to "cure" people of being transgender, for heaven's sake DON'T KEEP IT A SECRET. Tell the generations of psychiatrists, psychologists, doctors, pastoral counselors, and therapists who have tried and utterly failed to do just that.

The only "liberal plot" we have is the one they'd bury us in if his listeners got their way.

Maybe he'd change his mind if Caitlyn gave him a first issue Wheaties box with signature .

Yes, Jenner does have a "problem". She was born into a body of the opposite sex. She is seeking to "fix" this by transitioning.

Of course, Limbaugh is probably suggesting transgender people need "treatment" in the form of conversion therapy, even though it has been shown to be completely ineffective and also harmful, but hurting people psychologically will help them, right? That's genius! So much money has been wasted on psychological and medical research to find "cures" for things when the only "cure" needed for anything is coercing people to act "normal"!

I think anyone who uses the term "liberal plot" should be required to explain what part of the liberal plot it is helping, because I'd sure like to be in on it. Any plot to make this many people angry must be doing something right if there is much success happening.

Conversion therapy... doesn't converting your body to be correct count?

I'm going to start referring to my transition as "conversion therapy" to any conservatives I come across now.

This is proof that conservatives don't know what they're talking about. Here they are say "TG/TS need psychiatric help", without being aware that the mental health people, medical doctors, and gov'ts have been trying to help us, by learning about how we "tick" and how to "fix" us.

And after many decades and far too many suicides, they've finally reached the conclusion that transition (partial or full) is the ONLY "fix" that works.

Problem is, the conservatives simply couldn't be bothered with following our struggles, what with us being "freaks" and "pervs". Besides, they were too busy watching their portfolios increase and pissing about the "liberal agenda."

Hey, here's a tip: Instead of complaining about these all-powerful liberals, how's about you form your own damn agenda and make some headway to achieving your beliefs?

I read an article recently that talked about the conservative's reaction to Caitlyn's coming out, and we all know what that reaction was - pretty much a universal condemnation. The article said that no republican leaders had come out on her side as of yet (although plenty of democrats had), and one of the conservatives that had previously made a positive statement about her had been pilloried by other conservatives and had to retract that statement.

One of the big problems conservatives have with their attitude and bigotry is that fewer and fewer people are buying into it. People are starting to figure out that hate and bigotry toward minority groups is wrong and misguided, much as the racial attitudes of the 1950's seem unbelievable to us today. The tide is shifting, slowly, in our favor.

The conservatives are panicking because they sense that society is leaving them behind in the dustbin of history. I think that this is where the vitriol  is coming from - the conservatives sense that their 1950's attitudes are quickly becoming irrelevant to most people, especially the young people, who are rejecting them in droves.

Disclamer I am Constitutionalist small government type who would be closer to Tea Party or Libertarian.
The Republican party is a torn party compose of three segments. You have the RINOS who are Republican In Name Only. Next comes the Moral Majority segment and last comes the Libertarian/Tea Party. Each segment is about a third of the Republican party so none will have a controlling share of the party. Limbaugh is only presenting an argument that will be accepted by the Moral Majority segment of the party and I suspect not even all of that. If Limbaugh isn't careful he will find himself out of a job because he will no longer be what americans are. Americans are understanding and hate people telling them what to do so I suspect this argument will fade into the back ground as one of Limbaugh's headlines that didn't pan out. There will be some damage caused by it but hopeful our efforts to educate the population can overcome it.
Dirty word, I didn't want to get involved in politics over here.

You left one out. There are an awful lot of financial republicans - wealthy and powerful interests who see the GOP as a way to further their interests and give them some control over government regulation that will affect their wealth. In recent decades, it's been their money that have been propping up the party and if you look at what the party has actually done (vs. talked about) the agenda slants far more in their direction than the libertarians or the moral majority folks.

Trans* people get plenty of psychological help if they can, often thousands and thousands of dollars worth of psychological help. Maybe he wants listeners to help pay our therapy bills. I have about $360 in outstanding therapy bills right now, maybe Rush and his Dittoheads could help pay.

BTW, I've been so busy with this transition stuff, I just don't have as much time to engage in "liberal plots" as I used to. It looks like I may have to cancel my plans to collectivize all the wheat farms in North Dakota and nationalize the steel industry.

Rush Limbaugh is a tired old has been desperately seeking relevance.  No one listens to him any more:

The reaction I've gotten from my "friends" has been nothing short of atrocious. They told me I need help, I'm "sick in the head" and other stuff.

Problem for them is that I already do get help and transition is the only thing that has made me better.
