Did you plan this before hand or when you got to BA asking the staff of Dr. DiMaggio. This nurse could be employed by other girls coming for FFS. Hope to see pics of you soon.
Meanwhile I am going to have a Skype Consultation with Dr. DiMaggio on Wednesday morning 11am BA time. Wit Facial Team on Tuesday and with Dr. Rossi from T-Change on Thursday. Have to say that I compared what Dr. DiMaggio and Dr. Rossi want to perform on my face and it is practically the same procedure. Only difference, Dr. Rossi's offer is 5000 Dollars below that of Dr. DiMaggio. Well, I'll see on Wednesday if he doesn't have a special offer for me.

thanks for your comment. As mentioned above I have three Skype Consultations coming up from tomorrow. Then I believe I am able to make my choice. Facial Team for example didn't want to make an evaluation without a Skype Consultation. Then I thought why should I have only a Consultation with Facial Team and wrote to the others. They immediately granted me Consultations too. I believe my FFS will be with one of the three.

The need for assistanse was something I thought about in advance. Initially I wanted a close friend of mine to join me at the trip, which would have been a good solution, but he wasn't able to spend that much time abroad. I then turned to Dr Di Maggio which promised that they should provide a good solution after I left the hospital. I just paid a small fee for every time she visited me.
Doing skype is a wise solution in many ways. One important issue to me is to try to get to know the surgeon who actually going to cut and carve in me. If i don't like him he wont get permission. When I consulted with Dr Di Maggio three days before the surgery I got to get to know all the team who was going to perform surgery and after this I was even more reassured that this was the right team for me. Every person though has to make up her mind when it comes to this.

Another big day today as the nose-casket is to be removed. Dr Di Maggio will be here in a few hours and I'm very excited to see what the proportions are like when the NEW nose appears. It's the ONE thing now that hasn't been revealed sofar.
Level of pain after surgery for me has been neglectable. Since I left the hospital on Friday I haven't taken any painkillers at all-they can have the unused package back if they like. Anyway, this is individual and every one has to make up her own mind if painkillers is necessary. On a scale from 0-10 I'd say 7 right after surgery(postop) and down to 3-4 the day after and now 2-3. Most challenging part has been the eyes after blepharoplasty due to swollennes, but thats improving every day now-as I can see from the pictures I take and just by seeing better. The forehead is a bit thight, but noting serious. I think some of it will be relieved when the nose-cast is removed. Addams-apple hasn't caused me any problem whatsoever, which is a bit funny as a great deal of material has been removed here(very happy about that).
At the top of the head I can feel numbness from the incision and almost to where the back of the head starts, but I can still feel my fingers.
Anyway, if improvement continues the way it has I will consider returning earlier-maybe at the end of this week.

I am so happy that healing is going well. What is your impression of the nose like?

I think the best to way respond to that is to copy in a message I sent Dr Di Maggio and team just no-after he was here and removed the nose-casket and I had a chanse to fully study what proportions my face is going to have for the rest of my life.

Allthough its very early I was very satisfied to see tonight after the nose-casket was removed,that the profil from the forehead and through the nose and down has markedly improved. Being one of my big goals for this surgery this was very, very comforting to see.
Straight on the nose is also well proportioned with the rest of the face.
The balance between the upper and lower part of the face has in addition also improved very much.

This all means so much to me...Thank you so very, very much.

this morning and in the afternoon I had two Skype Consultations. There is another one coming up tomorrow morning with Dr. DiMaggio.
This morning I had a interview with Dr. Simon from Facial Team. I liked him from the beginning, very relaxed and always trying to go out of his way to explain and answer things. I very much like his approach of less is better than too much. By other Doctors I have been recommended to have a procedure done on my Jaw and also a Lip lift. When seeing me Dr. Simon told me that this wasn't necessary because my Jaw wasn't prominent at all, rather feminine. He also mentioned that a Lip lift wasn't necessary because when I talk my teeth were clearly visible, if they weren't he'd also recommend me to do it. He said what I needed most was forehead and brow area. In addition to that procedure adjust my nose practically as a result.
In the afternoon I meet with Dr. Rossi. What I didn't like is that contrary to Dr. Simon who has done already more than 800 FFS he had done in the last three years only a tad over 40. So I think he is clearly not as experienced as is Dr. Simon. Dr. Rossi has lots of experience in facial reconstruction where he has been and still is working with the Argentinian Army. I do believe that slightly differs from FFS. He also insisted that I needed jaw surgery and a upper lip lift contrary to Dr. Simon. So I must say some doubts crept up in me. Now I am very interested in "meeting" Dr. DiMaggio tomorrow morning.
Thing is when I sent in my pics Dr. DiMaggio and Dr. Rossi sent me an evaluation with the price tag to it. Dr. Simon told me they'd be glad to make an evaluation but want to see me first per Skype Consultation. Then I had the idea to make inquiries with the other Doctors whether it was also possible with them. Now Dr. Simon told me that I will receive an evaluation including the price in two or three days.
Thinking about the whole talk I must say that before it started Facial Team was for me an outsider. After the first two talks they are all of a sudden in the drivers seat. Wonder what tomorrow morning will bring.

Bit of advice if I may:
Make up your own mind about what needs to be done in order to get the face you would like to have. Do ofcourse receive reccomendations from surgeons-thats important. But tink through things thouroughly afterwards and decide what needs to be done overall. Study the results from the different surgeons and make a note of who delivers consistent, good results in the area you've decided to alter. Ask the surgeons on the shortlist a lot of question over a lengthy period of time about yours conserns. Dont rush into a decision-you are going to live with it for the rest of your life. I spent 8-9 months of patient and hard work before I decided on my surgeon and that was time very well spent.

I seriously doubt that Dr. Simon has performed more than 800 FFS already. Dr. Ousterhout performed 950 FFS from 1982, when he "invented" FFS, to 2009, when he published his book. This is 950 FFS in a period of 27 years.
Dr. Simon first approached FFS in 2007 and according to his website, he has performed about 300 FFS: http://facialteam.es/cff-equipo-quirurgico/dr-daniel-simon-es/ which is still more experience than Dr. Rossi, that's out of discussion, but very far from 800 surgeries.
