I forgot to post this the other day - I have officially got my date for GCS reserved. Aug 25th here in Los Angeles. I put down my deposit and I am doing all my prep work for the big day. It is hard to believe how much has changed in my life in just 16 months since I first met with my therapist. HRT, trachea shave, legal name and gender change, Drivers License, Passport, Birth Certificate, full time RLE, FFS, breast augmentation and now the finishing touch on the physical transition.
I have learned so much about the trans community and the struggles that so many have to go through. So while I am happy about my situation, I feel bad for those who are having to struggle to achieve their dream. Once I am recovered I will begin to find ways to fight for those in the community who are in need of assistance in transition. This is a medical condition that needs to be treated medically without exclusion because someone believes these procedures are "cosmetic" in nature. I will also expand on my efforts to educate the public on our issues and the terrible things that are happening to some of our brothers and sisters.
It makes me happy to know that I can help make a difference.
