The rising number makes the atrocity the worst shooting in American history."

This is CRAZY! I was at a packed club last night in Florida that was 40 miles away from this club. I though something was up when I didn't see police at their regular DUI hunting grounds. In-fact I could not recall seeing any police on the way home. They must have all been at the scene. I want to cry. This is not right.

These people have my love. I wish I could give them so much more.

This sort of atrocity is incredibly sad.  It hurts also knowing that a lot of the reactions we're going to see in the world over the next few days are going to be very sad themselves.

Thoughts and strength go out to all of the families and loved ones affected by this senseless violence. RIP

This is absolutely insane.

On the issue of the weapon used, Obama said that this is a reminder of how easy it is for anyone, even a terrorist, in this case, to get a weapon that can be used for mass destruction.

Shooting at LGBT Orlando Pulse Nightclub killed 50 says mayor

http://planettransgender.com/shooting-orlando-pulse-nightclub-dozens-injured/

Planet Transgender/Added by Kelli Busey on June 12, 2016.

"Mayor Dyer confirmed to a press conference that there were 50 killed and 53 hospitalised in the shooting, not 20 killed and 42 hospitalised as initially reported by police.

John Mina, chief of police said that initially officers believed there were 20 dead. But now that they have been able to access the entirety of the building, they can confirm up to 50 people have been killed."

I haven't been active on these forums for a while, but I wanted to hop on to comment on this.

There seems to be a lot of hate in the world lately. The far right is rising up and small minded bigots are everywhere now, and they seem intent on setting the entire planet on fire.

It goes without saying this is a terrible thing to have happened, and my heart goes out to the victims and their family and their friends who have been affected by this.

This kind of horribly and mindless act of violence should be something we read about in history books and wonder why civilisations of the past were so barbaric. How is violence like this still a thing in 2016? Seriously?

The worst part is, this isn't even the first terrible thing of this nature that has happened in the past 12 months. Its like the world is slipping backwards...

What I'm trying to say is - the world is very dangerous right now (more so than usual). Love to those affected by this horendous and mindless act. Love to all of you amazing people here, and please - all of you - stay vigilant, and stay safe. <3

My condolences. I'm crying since I heard it.

This world has to change soon, because this can't continue this way. We got to stop this, we've got to come together and FIX this world.

No guns, bullets or armed ideological terrorist can ever deny our love and our truth.  We will continue to triumph in the courts, in our schools, in our homes and in our hearts.  We will remain strong, defiant and committed to building an even stronger community and movement based on truth and love.  We are unstoppable!

A single, hate deranged, person took precious lives and maimed may others.  This was an LGBTQ massacre!!!!

There is going be a strong reaction calling for even greater division between us, but that is exactly what the extremists are trying to accomplish, in order to legitimize their aspirations. This is a clash of ideologies, so if we are to prevail, as we fight these threats to liberalism, we must never relinquish our embrace of diversity.

However you slice it, religious bigotry is horrific by a Muslim or a Christian. We know this guy was not just targeting American citizens. He went with a purpose to kill gays because he saw a couple kissing in public. Keep religion to yourselves like they used to until the charlatans took over and made God a money maker.

ISIS claims responsibility for Orlando gay club mass shooting which killed 50

http://www.pinknews.co.uk/2016/06/12/isis-claims-responsibility-for-orlando-gay-club-mass-shooting-which-killed-50/

Pink News/Joseph Patrick McCormick  12th June 2016, 7:41 PM

"ISIS has claimed responsibility for a mass shooting in Orlando which left 50 dead and at least 52 injured, the city's Mayor has confirmed.
ISIS (Islamic State) claimed responsibility for the attack which has killed at least 50, on the Amaq news agency following reports that the shooter called police to swear allegiance to the extremist organisation.
The rising number makes the atrocity the worst shooting in American history.
Orlando's mayor, Buddy Dyer, confirmed the number just before 10:30 local time on Sundy"

More to come. ISIS/IS/ISIL have been chanting about death to anyone that does not adhere to their brand of Islam. The LGBT community is one of those they are targeting. Those professed Christians spouting out how this is a "Reap what you sow" moment are missing the point here. They are designated targets as well. This is not punishment for transgressions from God, but transgressions against a certain belief system. God does not send earthly surrogates to mete out revenge against transgressions against Him. There has been a lot of wake-up moments in the past year alone with the various hate groups and individuals acting out. Not much done except rhetoric as this is an election year. Parties blaming each other instead of real action.
Then they came for me, and by that time there was no one left to speak for me. Pastor Martin Niemöller

Sorry to tell ya but the world is only getting worse and it will never get better because we are in the last days but I agree it's sad, you should never murder anyone but as I was taught and what it says in the Bible, "The love of man shall wax cold" and that's in the book of revelation. There is no love in this world anymore. I feel sorry for the generation after me.

Interesting you say that because if they had prayer everywhere like they use to, the world would be a much better place.
