Something you should understand and that is height isn't everything. There are disadvantages to being male and over 6 foot. My father was 6'4 had he had to special order clothing because sleeves weren't long enough. I am 6'2 and I can't tell you how many times my head has hit a branch, car hood, car trunk lid or some other object that was put in place by somebody shorter than me. On my evening walk this evening I passed under several trees that I had to bend over to avoid bashing my head against something hidden in the leaves. There is no shame in not being tall and many great men haven't been towering giants in the height department. I have discovered that the thing you will be most admired for is what's between your ears. The only time I have been admired for my height is when I reach to get something for someone who is unable to get the item without help.

I am 5 foot 7 and I have met one or two who transitioned young who are significantly taller than I am -- around 5 foot 10 I would guess.

When I've been to an ftm group most of the guys are around an inch or so shorter than me (I'm close to being 5'6). Although there were one or two guys who were an inch or so taller than I am. As Dena said there are a lot of disadvantages to being 6ft or taller and I'm glad I'm not that tall. What makes me feel sorta better is being thankful that I'm not any shorter than I currently am. Also I've passed a couple of men in the street who are the same height as I am so it's normal.
They/them pronouns preferred.

I suspect our height distribution is about the same as in the general AFAB population. I can't think of any reason it wouldn't be. The average height of women in the US is 5'4" (1.625 m), worldwide it's about 5'3" (1.6 m).  Height is very much related to how tall someone's parents are, but it's also strongly influenced by nutrition in childhood, which is why people in poor countries tend to be shorter than average.

I think Robert Eads was about the tallest FtM I've ever known or met.  I'm 5'6" and it seems I remember Robert being about 5'7" but then that could have been those cowboy boots he always wore.  I won't use his name because he's stealth but another person I knew was about the same height as me.

As Dena said, tall can be a disadvantage.  I used to laugh at the tall guys on the aircraft carrier who walked around with bandages or stitches from whacking their heads on hatches and cutouts.

I'm the tallest FTM most people I know have met, at 5'10 or 5'11. I'm also a teenager which brings a lot of shock. Most FTMs I know are in the 5'2-5'8 range.

I meant to mention my great nephew is 4'9" but he's only 16 so he should grow a little.

I guess it all depends where you are in the world - apparently the UK average height for biological women is '5'3' however where I live in the Country most women are at least 5'6 for example my sister who is taller than me at 6 foot. While I'm 5'10 1/2. (I'm MTF)

So if we were to do by average by my Countries average of women it'd be 5'3 for transmen - though I guess the averages would be completely different due to the percentage of FTM there are to Ciswomen.
I also want to argue the fact that our average for cis-women is 5'3 seeing as I've met more women who stand 5'6+ than >5'5 and below.

Personally talking the tallest FTM I've met is probably 5'6 ish and the shortest is 4'11. (I've only met two, that I know are trans) there might be more I've seen but I don't really know as gender is such a huge umbrella I can't assume and say every-ones trans if their appearance is more masculine or feminine.

I'm 5'2", both of my parents (a cis man and cis woman) are 5'7", and my cis brothers (the ones that have stopped growing) are 5'11/10" and 6'1". I lucked out and got the short genes :(

the trans youtuber Jamie Raines is 6'1", here's a video about his height here:

I don't know anyone other than me... I am about 5'8". I am taller than most of the cis men in my extended family. In any given day I see cis men who span the range from just over 5 feet to well over 6 feet so I try not to worry.

5'6", and I'm actually taller than the other trans guys I've met, who tended to be more like 5'4", 5'2". Even so, I'm still the shortest person in my family, boy or girl. I know height isn't everything. Both my brother and sister are well over six foot and both of them have problems finding clothing, or even folding themselves into seats designed for smaller people. Neither of them will fly if they can help it simply because their knees are practically under their chin unless they pay more to escape from coach.

Don't worry about it too much. There are plenty of short guys walking around, cis and trans.

I seem to be taller than the FTMs I see in the waiting room at the clinic. I'm probably 5'6", which isn't tall by any stretch. But I've not seen one taller than me so far.

I'm a transguy and i'm 6 feet, it is nice to be so tall but I also have issues with my joints, my knee used to dislocate and I had to have surgery on it because the connective tissue was too loose from being so tall.
