Thanks!

I saw US women's size 13 at Payless Shoes stores. Haven't you ever stopped there?

barbie~~

Yes, I've bought some there.  Occasionally, you find nice styles in larger sizes but the quality is not great.

I don't think your shoes are from Payless though :-)

Yes. I also noticed that there were no so many choices for big sizes at Payless Shoes. Still I purchase flat and high heels sandals, and athletic shoes there whenever I visit the U.S. The following high heels sandals were also from Payless shoes (US women's size 10), and I like the style and also the affordable price. It is relatively comfortable to walk on them.

I'm too old to look fabulous, but I'm getting to the point where I don't mind seeing myself in the mirror.

Your pretty, your smile is one of confidence and makes it all work together.  Oh....and "fabulous" is not patented for use only by the young.  :)

I really need to find a more natural way to stand.  I always favor one leg so as to remove weight from my left leg.  I have experienced many very bad injuries to my left knee and I really don't want another surgery.  Add to that a broken back which puts my hips at a very weird angle and ta da!   ;D  I must admit that the indoor pic seems far too unnatural (possibly because I am scrambling to get myself in the focus spot of the camera...quickly) but it is hard to be objective on oneself.  I picked the pictures I feel the most uncomfortable with because I'm carrying my winter weight and this always seems to highlight my critical thinking.  Any thoughts?

You look great in both pictures Dani.  We are so much our own worst critics.

No makeup, no filters and actually felt good about how I looked on this day. Almost 8 months on HRT and it feels like the time is just flying.

The photo is dark, but I am sure that you look feminine enough.

MichaelaLJ1972,

Great hair and eye brows. You have made progress with HRT. Keep it going, you will only improve.

Thanks, Ohhhhh boy, that's the last time I'm posting while being that tired. ?????  I don't know what I was expecting but after coming back rested, I'm thinking whaaat?  Nice words though and you're right, we can be our worst critics, especially in an exhaustion daze.   ::)

Deborah,

I sooo appreciate your comments about self criticism. We transgender women are sometimes over the top because of self doubt. My experience is fake it till you make it. I certainly spent my time in front of a mirror saying to myself I look like a fifty nine year old man with crappy hair, square jaw and no lips with a very masculine voice. OK OK I am a piece of work but, with that I am starting to get ma'am all the time because it takes more than being just pretty and its the whole person on stage. Ignoring the BS and being the female you know you are goes a long way. I personally can't go stealth because everybody knows me so who am I kidding.  I am learning to take risks and experiment with my femaleness. Some of my CIS female friends get misgender because of low pitched voice so I am learning to leave my ego at the door.

I think that's a very wise overview. All the best to you.

Here's one of my favorite photographs of myself.  Which is pretty funny because I'm sure it's hideous.  But that just shows that I'm going in the right direction as far as being myself. lol. Anyway, here it is...
