Reading the Global Announcement in the forum about the article on Susan, and reading some of the comments on that site, I just wanted to chime in. I may be new here, but I am an avid internet reader and have read many LGBTQ sites, and I find Susan's Place to be the most welcoming and inclusive of all of them. So, as Taylor Swift wrote, "haters are gonna hate," but in my experience, this is the best place to be for ALL of us.

I could not agree more. I'd be a bit lost without this community.

the people who come to this site have guided me for the 3 years since the beginning of my transition. I was lucky to find this place when I was looking for a place to help in my transition . I find this place an amazing resource especially now that I'm focusing on GCS.

I enjoy the forums i think its a good place i like being around the people on forums and i like the environment
I think it's helpful and can sometimes be educational it's helped me a lot in my transition. I don't consider it the best place iv'e been to but its still in my top favorite websites. However as much as i love and respect this place and think it is wonderful i haven't had a very good time inside the chat room and i think the chat room can be wonderful but often easily triggering and
is a place where it is easy to be often misunderstood or disliked and i think that comes from the struggle of people trying to understand moving text quick enough. I prefer the forums  but that doesn't mean the other side is horrible i actually think chat could do very good with some work but for now i'll stay here.
I do enjoy this place....i think its a good place.

Susan's is a very good place, thanks to Susan's values and vision, the gentle but firm hands of the Mods, and of course the inhabitants, both the regulars and the "just passing through."

I support the site with a subscription and the occasional donation as well.

My DEAREST Sinclair....
I wholeheartedly agree with you 1000%.....this place is an oasis in the middle of the Sahara Desert we call the internet..... ALL of us stop by here to get our souls refreshed and we leave here a better & more relaxed person....

Love this place.  Am here reading as much as I can every morning.  Learning all about me and you all.  : )

I love coming here.  It is an oasis of sanity, where I can learn to be myself.  I don't think I could have come out to my wife and friends (or maybe even myself) without the support of the good people here.

I stay away from chat rooms.  The immediacy of the conversation there is too fast for me.  I like the discussion forum format, because it allows me the time I need to digest what people are saying and to compose a post that actually says what I want it to.

I am pretty new here still as well, but I absolutely love this place. It has really helped me figure everything out, and has been a great sounding board when I needed it. The people are so friendly and non judgemental. I have been given really great advice. I don't think I would be as comfortable as I am today, with figuring out who I am, if it weren't for these forums.

Susan

Thank you all! It is because of people like each of you that this website has been here for 21 years, and I am planning on being here for the next 20 years as well!

I have some small problems with the site, but overall I like Susans, and its playing a small but useful part in my transition.  Thank you to the people running the site, and the community that helps make it what it is.

From the first day I came here, it's been a warm and welcoming place. Also, a good place to get useful information and to connect with people going through similar life issues. It's so good to not feel like you're the only one!

Probably the best forum I've been on and I've been on a lot of different ones for different things.

Without this site I would still be in the dark ages wondering how I turned out this way. Why on earth I would choose this over the love of my life. Thank you for helping me on this road to discovery.  I would not be where I am today without this site. After half a century of self loathing I am free to be me. And oh so thankful. The only regret I have is that I wish I had started sooner.

I'm indifferent and I usually come and go when I please. Always have been a lone wolf and do my own thing. But when I'm around I try to give as good feedback and assistance whenever possible. Of lately I've been away dealing with alot of issues like leaving my Grocery Support Manger position at Wal-Mart for an All-Rounder Position at Publix. So naturally I think the last time I was active on this group like July?! But when I have problems I'm not afraid to return here for help. There are alot of good people here to help. XD

It's a life saver, many times over. It saves my sanity when the doubts creep in.

I find myself here daily just reassuring myself that I'm not alone and many others are on this journey.

Thank you, Susan and the support team'

I think this is a great site as I have only been here a few day and totally occupied reading Rachel Lynn's almost 4 yr long thread. From what I can tell so far is everyone is very accepting, non judgmental and pretty much open about some very private issues but hey anonymity is a wonderful thing.
