Forty five miles from home, killing time at the mall before I visit a new client and got my hair done. This is the first time going in not telling anyone that I had ever been considered a man! Then girl talk with Randi (my partner and spouse of 35 years, or is she?) By email. She can't wait to see my hair. She says it sounds nice.
April 22, 2015, the day of my first face to face pass in gender neutral clothes and no makeup. It may be months to the next one, but I'm good with that!

First appointment with the doctor for hormones went very well. Lab tests tomorrow which will hopefully lead to me starting HRT by Thanksgiving.

A trip to the grocery store made my day today. As my wife is back in town, I'm forced to present male - which is starting to get really ridiculous with my hair, lack of facial hair and boobs - but the woman at the cashier called me Ma'am and Miss. No makeup, no earrings, just a dark blue t-shirt and jeans. I can't believe this is really happening...

If only my wife would see it....

Love u all
Jessica

Feel free to PM me, I'm happy to help, don't be shy... :)

Aww, I'm soo happy for you Jessica! I was wearing a L size female tank top loose female pants and pink and black size 10 female shoes also wore a nude color beanie and used my female voice. I never got an odd look and people attitude towards me was like how people behave towards females.

I took my mom to the dentist and my mom referred to me as her daughter to the medical staff asking if it was ok for me to come back there and no one seemed shocked or gave me a second look. I was very happy... this happens a lot now I just wish I had my long hair back. My hair looks horrible it's in that shaggy awkward phase ew!

Last night I wore a simple, purple and black witch costume for Halloween, and everyone thought it was super cute! <3

I'm happy for three things:
1) I was "miss"'d the other day (while in guy mode) in line at a local sandwich shop. (He was horrified, I smiled)
2) I put on a sweater this morning that was an impulse buy last spring on clearance ($6).  I thought I would never wear it - I LOVE IT!  I walked past a mirror earlier and for the first time I actually saw a cute girl (no makeup or anything).
3) I'm back to a place where I can donate monthly to Susan's place.  Thank you Susan for your work and dedication.

I had an electrolysis appointment after not going for 6 weeks.  Hurricanes, illness....I kept having to cancel.  But I finally made it!

Well congrats on your electrolysis appointment! And I'm sorry about the hurricanes and the illness, do you live in the east coast of america?

I need to start my PHR but I'm poor and yeah that's sucks. It seems like I'll be done transitioning on hrt before i have the money for PHR meaning I'll have to be a facial haired lady for a while... omg how scary that is.

I read that mention of electrolysis and missed appointments, and it triggered something. This morning would normally be my last shave until Monday afternoon, in prep for my Monday morning visit.  Ah,but my electrolyst is starting a vacation.

So, no appointment Monday, and no hairy weekend!  Yaaaaay!

My personal transition path included medical changes.  The path others take may require no medical intervention, or different care.  We each find our own path. I provide these dates for the curious.

See, being on Laser/IPL and not Electrolysis, I have to shave, exfoliate, then shave again for maximum hair-removal.  I might actually be starting to see results, but I'm going to wait over the weekend to tell you if that's actual progress or just that I shaved it well for the last session.  You'll hear about all that when I update my IPL thread...

I was extremely happy for about 2 or 3 seconds a few days back.  My wife told me that I look more like a woman than she does.  And for a moment, I was looking at how gorgeous she is(Seriously, it calls to mind divinity *swoon*) and the fact that she brings me into comparison with her is humbling. Then I watched her face drop and realized that it was insecurity speaking and I felt immense guilt for diminishing her self confidence.  I would gladly look like a hairy, burly, bodybuilder if I could just have her accept me as a woman.  I want desperately to be her princess, and for a moment, that's how I felt.

Girl, I totally get that.  I love going to electrolysis even though it hurts like heck because I know I am one day closer to decimating my beard, but having to grow my beard out for a few days before hand SUCKS.

Going out to dinner for my birthday, I dolled my self up. Makeup, some extra time on my hair and a nice dress. Then I waited, and waited and waited for my wife to get home. I had to call her to remind her we had reservations. She finally got home at the last minute. She is in jeans and a flannel shirt and didn't want to change. I was sad that she didn't dress up too, but the swapped gender roles made me smile.

Ran into two more of my clients from back when I managed the psych facility. They're doing well!

We love to swap roles too! I get to look pretty and be treated like a princess, she has to pick up the tab!

Saw the psychologist today (thought they said something about a psychiatrist, but whatever) and it was a positive experience. She's going to talk with my PCM to send the request to HQ to begin my transition. The plan consists of my going to San Antonio (Lackland), but I mentioned that there is an Army base out at El Paso (Ft Bliss) that also has a medical facility, which would be a much quicker trip. She said that she'll look into it to see if it would be viable. Yay! Baby steps. Inching closer and closer to realizing my dream. I'm one happy lady. ;D

Found out my part of my inheritance will be sent to me in the next couple of weeks.  I can hopefully pay off one of the credit cards I used to pay for GCS.
