Without talking about it, my Therapist asked when I want to start HRT :-) totally out of the blue. Happiness here I come...

It was simple and sweet. Met a girlfriend for breakfast, shared life story updates with the waitress at the café that has never hesitated accepting me. Spent the next 3 or 4 hours wandering a local mall with my girlfriend, just walking, talking, a bit of shopping. I just love it when one of these days comes around....such a gift.   Anne

My wife messaged me and asked if I wanted her to do my make up later tonight. Of course I said yes! She hasn't really done it much so it certainly made my day.

Complete strangers helped me out with the money to get my passport with the correct gender on it.  Now I'm waiting on my Dr. to write me a letter.

I got letters for my legal gender/name change today, and my therapist is putting in referrals to get my electrolysis covered and for a tracheal shave.  :D

Mix in the realization in therapy last night and this morning that I'm free, really free to be myself for the first time in over 50 years, and, well, damn, but I'm having a good day!

Off to the courthouse in the morning to see a clerk about a filing...
Earth my body, water my blood, air my breath and fire my spirit.

My personal transition path included medical changes.  The path others take may require no medical intervention, or different care.  We each find our own path. I provide these dates for the curious.
Electrolysis - Hours in The Chair: 238 (8.5 were preparing for GCS, five clearings); On estradiol patch June 2016; Full-time Oct 22, 2016; GCS Oct 20, 2017; FFS Aug 28, 2018; Stage 2 labiaplasty revision and BA Feb 26, 2019

I got married yesterday!  :)
But I had to do it in guy mode.  :(

Though I'm out to my family, friends and at work, her family doesn't know yet.
I'm more Gender Fluid at this point in my transition, than anything else.

BUT we're HAPPY!!!!

Two things made me smile today:

OMG-That's totally awesome.

2) My nipples are sore, I'm getting small buds behind them and while working in the yard I was resting my chest against my leg and could feel what I think is breast development.  I'm psyched!

End of my first full day at transition levels of E2.   Was a little nervous that I was prescribed sublingual estrace.   I'm not nervous anymore.  I honestly don't think I've ever felt this good in my entire life.   Feels like my brain is having a bubble bath with lavender and rose petals...

I'm beyond amazed.

ps:
Grats on the marriage!!!

I Am Jess

Found out that my insurance company is going to reimburse me the full amount of my GCS.  My doctor does not accept insurance so I had to pay out of pocket in advance.  My EOB (explanation of benefits) indicates that they are covering the whole cost.  So my total out of pocket for GCS in Los Angeles with a six day hospital stay is going to only be about $1,400.

This is a complete surprize to me because I went with an out of network doctor and I expected that I was going to have to cover the majority of the cost as an out of pocket expense. This is a really wonderful and unexpected result.

Watching some documentaries, curled up on the couch. with some hot tea, enjoying a day without any pain and discomfort from surgery. Life is great, it does get better.

A long-time friend told me that I probably wouldn't need FFS because I have a beautiful "face frame." Can't lie; it made me blush a little. Only time will tell, though, so I won't hold my breath, but it made the rest of my day, for sure.  ;D

Only then will you realize your true potential and shake off the burdens of your fears and doubts.
