I shaved my thighs for the first time today and I'm going for more tomorrow. My legs are pretty hairy but it's coming off.

And this is cheating but a few days ago I was using a public restroom sink. I saw a guy walk in behind me from the mirror, and after he saw me from behind, he stepped back and did a double take on the gender posted on the door.

It's 3 years today since I received one of the greatest gifts I've ever had: top surgery! Happy Ex-Mammaryversary to me!  ;D

Randi is correctly gendering me when talking to strangers 95%+ of the time now! It may be because I praised her for trying so hard lately.

It may also be because several people have looked at her like she has Turette's when she's misgendered me.
April 22, 2015, the day of my first face to face pass in gender neutral clothes and no makeup. It may be months to the next one, but I'm good with that!

Being transgender is just a phase. It hardly ever starts before conception and always ends promptly at death.

They say the light at the end of the tunnel is an oncoming train. I say, climb aboard!

My sister is a few years old and a lot of relatives recently said that I look like she did when she was my age. :)

Praise the hormones!

A friend invited me to an Oscar Party tonight.  I was told to either dress as a character in one of this year's films, or dress as an over-the-top attendee.  There would be a contest.  Ahem.  Dear, never, ever dare a woman like me to try and do over-the-top.

I won.

Earth my body, water my blood, air my breath and fire my spirit.

My personal transition path included medical changes.  The path others take may require no medical intervention, or different care.  We each find our own path. I provide these dates for the curious.

On my way back from lunch I walked past a man who was shorter than me (and that's saying something!). From the size of his hands I'd say he was cis.

Being too short (or too tall) is not a reason not to transition.

Saw my GP this morning and armed with info from here (thanks ftm) booked for a blood test to see if I can go on HRT , my GP was wonderfull bless her I could give her a hug but better wait till I have come out. The other thing that's made me happy is the veggie curry I made last night , recon its the best meal I have made so far.

Being alive!  Being healthy!  Being, finally, happy!

It is a vast improvement from where I was a year ago.

I have slight recollections from when I was a student at Sheffield Uni of a whisky substitute for about that price, hate to think what was in it. We used to consume a bottle on the Friday afternoon before going to the gigs that night.

I'm not sure if it was utterly repulsive or not or my now non-existent taste buds have no recollection.

I'm having a very lovely glass of Banrock Station White Shiraz that I bought for $8.50 a bottle in Adelaide. It isn't a very good wine by any means but since I no longer have smell or taste buds it doesn't matter! It is nice and fresh on the palate though.

I have to admit it is the class of wine that is too poor to cook with, too poor to serve to a friend but OK for a lonely girl on a 37C night.

Cindy, I'll hoist one with you.

My therapist and I decided that the time has come for me to burn the Sad Old Man's pre-transition journals.  That'll leave nothing but my An update on me... thread covering my transition history.   Farewell, Sad Old Man.  You served me well and kept me safe, but it is time for you to leave now.

Bittersweet, but happy now.  Time to move forward.

Clan Dew aka Clan Spew, a blend of white wine & whiskey. I was violently sick on that stuff as a 16 year old & never touched it again

Clan Spew sounds horribly familiar !

I know it wasn't, but I seem to think it was methylated spirits with coffee groundings.

Ahh the Saturday mornings of utter paralysis, a head so sore and a stomach so rebellious and you turned to the person next to me in the bed and wonder; why am I in bed with a guy?
