I've lost 13 lbs and then this happened.

They just recently opened up a Texas Roadhouse (Steakhouse) by us here in Northern NJ (You can see the NY Skyline from their parking lot.) We've been to them down south and like their food. It seemed like half people there were rednecks. (I didn't even think there were that many in this part of NJ.)

This older guy (he looked like a cross between Kenny Rogers and Grizzly Adams) with 2 other people keeps staring at me about 3 tables away. After he pays his check he gets up from his table and walks up to our table and approaches me and then says: "I just have to say you have the most beautiful alabaster complexion I've ever seen on a woman and just think you are beautiful."

The rednecks live in the cracks and crawlspaces in Walmart. It was sad. Before the Texas Roadhouses opened they had to subsist on Budweiser, beef jerky and pickled okra from the grocery section. If they didn't live in a supercenter they really suffered.

You should have come further north. Poughkeepsie has had one for months and here in Kingston we've had one forever.

So glad you got that wonderful compliment!
April 22, 2015, the day of my first face to face pass in gender neutral clothes and no makeup. It may be months to the next one, but I'm good with that!

Being transgender is just a phase. It hardly ever starts before conception and always ends promptly at death.

I lived in Chester, NY in the late 80's and visited often in the early '90s so I know the area well. Before Wal-mart there was Loyd's Supermarket and Super Center in Middletown and Newburgh. When in High School I worked at the one in Middletown. Some really interesting people you would meet there. Also purchased my first car in Kingston, NY.

I just remembered a cute moment from my childhood.

When I was about 6 or 7, I read a book that had a young boy with hearing aids as the super smart sciencey character. I had hearing aids, so I ran around the classroom telling people I was super smart and sciencey too because I had them.
My parents also called them "spy ears" to make me feel better about having a disability, so I played spies with my friends a lot. I was considered the ultimate spy because of my spy ears. 8)

Now the waiting begins, I'm scheduled for beginning of December with a slight chance to be move to an earlier spot.

I should get that information in May.

This morning I showed my sister the dainty CZ heart earrings I'm wearing and the pink frost nail polish I'm wearing. I am also wearing a bra so the little girls are showing. That started a short conversation on earrings, nails and polish, a little about makeup, and a little about how I use ordering for her and others around Christmas to get some things for myself. I even showed her a couple items I got for myself while buying the same for her in a different color and size. I also brought out a few other earrings I have to show her.  Girl talk! .... cooool.

  Hugs,
   Jeanette

Talked to my son today. He'll be a graduate nurse this time next month. He called to tell me he was taking Randi and me to brunch when we come out to see him graduate. He also wanted to tell me how proud he is of his mother, Randi. He said she referred to me as "she/her" the whole conversation. This from the woman who said that she'd never see me as anything but a man. They do both refer to me as "dad" in those conversations. We're gonna have to do something about that or people might think one or more of us is crazy. I no longer look anything like anyone's dad.

What made me happy today was me going to a trainimg evening for an LGBT charity. The group was small and everyone was so friendly. I also met someone who was asexual as well; first time ever  ;D. Just wish I could have talked to her about it but seemed a bit too personal.

Thanks Elis!

Another thing that made me happy was the fact that one of my friends got engaged this evening. He and his boyfriend have been talking about getting married for so long, and now it's going to happen in the near future!

Something that makes me happy today or any day is when I see members on here who have struggled in the past 'paying it forward' by helping others with their hard-won experience.  It just makes me feel warm and fuzzy all over.  :)

A ride to Liverpool to see the places Dad misspent his leave ( & wages) from the Merchant Navy when he was a young tearaway. Very rundown now but I imagined it 70 years ago with drinking, fighting & hookers

My voice is getting a bit gravelly already, and not because I'm sick. I'm not happy about the slight sore throat, but it means I might be getting some early changes!
Also, I finished my second music video. Happy happy!
