Things are good.  Voice is coming along.  Hair is getting longer.  People are super friendly. I'm starting to get the pronouns (starting to dissociate with he/him/his/(old name)). Got a manicure today that is awesome.  Had a voice support group meeting tonight that went well.  My wife and I are getting along (had a big fight on something I screwed up on - big time.. My fault but... Another story).

Life is good.

Tomorrow is one month for me on HRT. Last night I went to bed and noticed my left nipple felt a little sensitive or irritated.  Woke up this morning and most of the lower portion of my left breast is sensitive to the touch and I'm starting to feel shades of the same on my right.  Hoping this truly is a sign of the Hormones doing their thing.

Seems silly to be happy and excited about pain, but this is a good soreness to be sure (if it means what I think it means).

I told the another young friend (adult daughter (with 3 kids) of my friends in Missouri ) about me today. I opened with "Ever since I was a kid I have like to wear girl's clothes" her reaction to that was an "Oh really?" I then proceeded to tell her the rest. She is another accepting friend.

Shopping for clothes with Randi has become routine, normal. I go into the ladies' room with no trepidation that  someone is going to scream "man!' Yes, it still takes a little effort. No laser or electrolysis yet, so I have to shave closely and use makeup, but that's 20 minutes per day, tops. Life is good.
April 22, 2015, the day of my first face to face pass in gender neutral clothes and no makeup. It may be months to the next one, but I'm good with that!

Being transgender is just a phase. It hardly ever starts before conception and always ends promptly at death.

Went to church today and got lots of hugs from the ladies and even a couple of the men. Such a wonderfully friendly and accepting place, I love it!!  I was in such a good mood that afterward I went shopping at a nearby Kohl's to get a new purse, some summery shirts and a pair of capri jeans.  Almost everyone was super friendly, there were a couple shoppers who maybe kind of kept their distance but didn't say anything.  And the cherry on top of all this???  I am now officially down to a size 6 in jeans!!!!

It was the trifecta of wonderfulness today :)

First thing this morning was a great first appointment with a voice therapist. I will be going weekly for the next 6 weeks with more afterwards if needed.

Stopped at the Social Security office to update my information too!

And today, my doctor supplied me with a letter about the medical necessity of facial hair removal for my insurance company! Pretty much the last thing I need to get it covered.

Read your policy: they will vary.  Ours specifically covers electrolysis for removal of facial hair on a doctor's prescription, if the hair would cause "extreme emotional trauma".

Damn, so jealous.  My insurance company's transgender policy just straight up says electrolysis and laser hair removal are cosmetic and therefore not covered.

Today, my younger sister, who lives quite far abroad and with whom I have little contact, sent me an e-mail. Apparently, my parents, who are having quite a hard time accepting me being transgender, outed me to her... And I was astonished with her reaction. She writes that she wasn't "that" surprised, but it still was a bombastic news. She told that she'd support my decision and that I can count on her, whatever my parents think. I don't remember crying so much while reading an e-mail... Tears of pure happiness. I don't subscribe to any religion, but at that moment I felt really blessed.
