Posted in the wrong section originally...didn't have my glasses on

My wife of 33 years used "She" pronouns when talking about me to my daughter today for the first time ever within my earshot...my stupid head wants to say it was accidental, but I don't care I'll still take it as a positive sign and a first...I didn't say anything but kissed her on the forehead and left her to her conversation  ;D ;D

I think you are confused Liz.  This is the "unhappy" thread not the silently ecstatic thread.

  Hugs,
   Laurie

Thanks Laurie

First post of the day and without my glasses...oh heck I wonder where else I posted...better go check....might be over there, under that pile of MAKEOVER requests projects. Who's name is that on the top.....

I got on the scale this morning and the answer she had for me was a lovely one.  I'm down 12.4 pounds since I started HRT.  More importantly I'm now at the lowest weight I have been since I was in my 20's.  I'm down to 158 and hoping to lose 8 more pounds.  At 5'10", 150 I'm hoping I might be able to fit into size 4 jeans.  We'll see.

Interesting LGBT, emphasis on T, event with someone who has a rather rapidly evolving sense of transgender issues and politics, followed by a very nice dinner out punctuated with some rather brutal truths.

I'd call it a productive evening, though.

Certainly, I am very happy to see positive results from the evening.

Hi!  Welcome to Susan's Place.

We have a number of different forums here, some of which may help you in getting better responses for your posts.  I do have a few suggestions for you as a new member to help you get started.

* We'd like to get to know you!  Try posting a little bit about yourself in a new topic just for yourself, over in our Introductions forum. Tell us your story, how you came to join our family, life lessons learned, and tell us what makes the world a special place for you.

* If you have questions on hormone replacement therapy, you will get the best response to your questions by asking them over in our Hormone Replacement Therapy forum for our transitioning members.

I hope you feel welcome here.

I also want to share some links with you. They are mostly welcome information and the rules that govern the site. If you have not had a chance to take a look, please take a moment to go through them.

Things that you should read

Once again, welcome to Susan's. Look around, ask questions and join in.

Got my very first wig today! I feel it was a good choice... What do you girls think? It's not properly styled yet, but it felt so good to look at the mirror! Almost 45 years-old, almost 3 months into HRT, good deal of beard already zapped... Not exactly Milla Jovovich, but it could have been worse, huh? [emoji39]

Looks like a pretty good match with your natural colours. I think with some styling it will look really good..You have that nice V shaped face so you can probably pull off just about any length.  ;D

Thanks Elizabeth! I was so unsure about the color and lenght. I decided to play it safe and ordered a medium length with a color that matched my eyebrows and natural hair. It's much more comfortable than I expected.  I don't know if you use a wig, but when I saw myself in the mirror, I thought: "You ARE a girl... And the sky is the limit!" [emoji4]

Wow! Lucky you! [emoji4]  I've been growing my own hair (Finasteride+Rogaine) with very encouraging results, but I still have a patch of MPB (very triggering in terms of dysphoria). I have a hair transplant scheduled for august. I hope it will be enough, together with the hairline advancement.

Hi Elizabeth!

Only now did I read the good news! Very happy for you! Been through that experience myself and I confirm that it feels really good. Normally when my wife talks to me, she doesn't say my name, she just talks and it's kind of implicit that she's addresing me. A couple of weeks ago, she called me Sarah... It felt so good and soothing. [emoji7]

Hugs, Sarah
