Had first appointment with Dr Schechter for FFS this week.  He thinks he can get me in this calendar year.  I've already met all deductibles and out of pocket max.  Therefore this should ALL be zero dollars out of pocket for FFS and BA.  I'm excited.

Had my first airline flight today for a trip down to Dallas. I was not particularly worried about TSA etc. except that my trip was for an electrolysis session and I had to sport a five day beard growth. My fears were to be sitting next to a 250 lbs redneck cowboy with a full transphobia complex. The good news was that everybody treated me well and with respect. My seatmate was a nice 19 year old gal that needed someone to talk to to help her with her fear of flying. We both got through it well. The bad news...well there wasn't any. I look forward to my flight home on Tuesday with a fully cleared face.

Hi Anne, let us know how it went when you return.  I'm interested in this method of full clearing.

Back in the States and I'm able to use my wigs again.

My next door neighbor, who's been flirting with me, brought me over a beautiful purple flower from his garden.  I wasn't home at the time but my friends said that he told them that it was for "the beautiful young lady who lives next door"......he's in his 70's so I am young to him.  I don't believe that he knows I'm trans because he's asked about my ex-husband previously....

Even though it's not legally my name (yet) the doctors office changed my name on their files to Jennifer. That was a great boost. After I got my discharge papers and went over them, I noticed something that was a bit of a shock, but I loved and almost cried. In their files, and on my papers, they have me listed as female. The male past is starting to no longer exist. He is gone, and this girl is taking over. I'm still kinda tripped out (in a good way) about this. I don't even know what words to use to describe just how ecstatic I am.

I got a phone call from my sister today, that started with "Hi Sister" .  It got better, she had us change to video chat, at which point she told my wife and I we were going to be Aunties, twice.  She's pregnant with twins!  And She called me an aunt!

It's pretty sad that I don't know which to be happier about.

Came out to my brother yesterday. I wasn't sure how he would take it but everything went well. In fact before we hung up he said good night sis.

I was attending a corporate LGBT lunch today and was  standing with a group of people who didn't know me but we're talking about me in the third-person.  They had no idea I was the person they were referring.  Since there are only a few of us (MtF) in the organization, I must blend in well.

HAD MY NAME AND GENDER CHANGED ON MY DRIVERS LICENSE! AND A NEW PICTURE- YEY!

My 3.5 year old daughter put some of her cookie in her water bottle and called it cookie juice The water looked like dirt water but she was happy as a clam to drink it!

My first consult for GCS, the first meeting with the surgeon, has been moved up to July 26 from mid-August!

Of course this makes me happy.

I can't speak for your surgeon or medical system, but I have been given the expectation that the surgeon will want to check the donor material to determine how to best proceed, for scheduling purposes, and will be checking in this particular case for progress on electrolysis down there, as this surgeon has been bitten by patients showing up for their pre-op visit incompletely cleared.

I'll be ready!

From what I've seen here and on siteredactedduetoweirdrulesherebutitstartswithacolor, your hardheadedness and inability to see yourself as others see you is what generally ruffles feathers... nothing to do with your presence.  You and Galaxy always upset me for being so cute and being so self-loathing.  I pray that your self-acceptance has gotten better since your last visit.

I came out as bi to my best friend and he was really supportive We also spoke a little about trans issues and I can tell he's supportive of trans people too! I'm gonna wait until I'm face-to-face with him again before I come out as trans

This was a few weeks ago but the gender markers on all of my vital documents have been appropriately amended to female
