The only group I haven't consistently passed with in my area is gas station cashiers. Most of them seem to be Indian, Pakistani, or Sikh. Perhaps because of cultural differences they're more sensitive to gender queues, perhaps because I'm 5'10" and 200 pounds they seem most likely to misgender me. I realized today that for the past 2 or 3 weeks that hasn't been happening. I drive a lot for work so I buy gas almost every day.
April 22, 2015, the day of my first face to face pass in gender neutral clothes and no makeup. It may be months to the next one, but I'm good with that!

Being transgender is just a phase. It hardly ever starts before conception and always ends promptly at death.

Two things.
First-
One bug-a-boo off my shoulders today.  It was close to 100 degrees F (37 C) today and my wife suggested going out to dinner.  The place has outdoor seating and she HATES air conditioning.  Therefore we were going to sit outside.  I had a choice - jeans (long legged) or a skirt.

This is the first time in a skirt "in town" and with my wife at the same time.

Second-
My wife and I had a good chat about our relationship and when to separate/divorce.  It was actually a very good conversation and I only shed one or two tears.  Better than the last time when the waterworks were turned on!  I let her know what my thoughts were and she was very receptive.  We both end up in an okay place.

I did my usual two 2 hour sessions of electrolysis today.  Last week and this week I did the first session in the stirrups, getting the South Pole cleared per the doctors orders for GCS.  A hour and 20 minutes into today's session Jodie announced that she was out of hairs.

So, that was a total of 3 hours, 20 minutes to complete the initial clearing for GCS!  Much faster than I expected.  The made me happy!

(Not DONE done, or course, as fresh hairs will start their growth cycles.  I'll be taking off a week on that, though, while we wait for new hairs to awaken.)
Earth my body, water my blood, air my breath and fire my spirit.

My personal transition path included medical changes.  The path others take may require no medical intervention, or different care.  We each find our own path. I provide these dates for the curious.
Electrolysis - Hours in The Chair: 238 (8.5 were preparing for GCS, five clearings); On estradiol patch June 2016; Full-time Oct 22, 2016; GCS Oct 20, 2017; FFS Aug 28, 2018; Stage 2 labiaplasty revision and BA Feb 26, 2019

Yesterday I attended to an interview a book signing by Janet Mock for her new book "Surpassing Certainty". Remarkable woman.

My first male fail! Woah this is seriously something that everyone should go through!

While coming to work I went into a supermarket to get some cold drinks—we're having 38 ºC in Madrid these days. When going in, I put my laptop backpack inside the lockers as is customary in Spain (dunno elsewhere). So after paying for the drinks I went to grab it. The next customer was paying but he had not been in line behind me so he didn't know that the seemingly abandoned drinks were mine. When I was getting back there with the backpack I heard the cashier telling him "No, they are hers". I didn't react immediately, it was only a few second later while I was putting the bottles inside the bag, that it struck me. "Wow did she just say...", "I MUST ask her". So I waited for them to finish the transaction and I asked her. She was puzzled, obviously :D, and in order to make sure, I got to the point of telling her "but look, I am a guy". Then she started apologising, to my delight :) At that point I explained and she told me she was absolutely convinced I was a woman.

I was wondering if the fact that no one looked twice at me while in girl mode would be whether because I totally pass or because I am so obvious that no second look is even warranted. The male fail today strongly skews the chances in the good direction ^^

Received a call from the VA Coordinator that my case is a priority and I will be fast tracked thru the process for evaluation and on to Endo. 10 Mins later I received a call from mental heath for evaluation in the morning. Things are starting to happen faster! My spirit is lifted once again!

In Tim Horton's, the (male) server called me "dear".   ;D

Now, in Nova Scotia, "dear" is a form of address commonly used by wait staff.  It tends to be gender-neutral when used by female servers.  However, at least one of the parties, either the server or the customer, has to be female.  A male server would never call a male customer "dear".  So, he gendered me correctly!  As confirmation, he called the next (male) customer "pal".

Also, I went for my first ever bra fitting at a new lingerie store that opened this week. :D   (The less great part of that is that, with padding, I am only a 38A.  :(  Without it, I'd be lucky to be an AA.  Oh, well, at least I know they're there.)

Okay, forget my previous post.  It is nothing compared to this:   Bill C-16 passed!!!

This new law now prohibits discrimination on the basis of gender identity and gender expression at the federal level.  (All provinces and territories already had this kind of protection.)  It also enables prosecution of such discrimination as a hate crime if the circumstances warrant it.

I am really happy today!!   :icon_dance: :eusa_clap:

From what I've seen here and on siteredactedduetoweirdrulesherebutitstartswithacolor, your hardheadedness and inability to see yourself as others see you is what generally ruffles feathers... nothing to do with your presence.  You and Galaxy always upset me for being so cute and being so self-loathing.  I pray that your self-acceptance has gotten better since your last visit.

Nope, it hasn't really gotten better. People are annoyed with me because they don't like how I bring facts on subjects that has to with transitioning.
