This is a problem for me every night now. I purchased a 2" thick mattress pad that helped. But my chest bumps are still growing so now the pad is good for only a while. I am thankful for this like you...

Yes, it was strange.  I had resigned myself to the entire process taking six months due to the need to replace immigration documents.  But last week, I got a phone call that they did not require the immigration documents after all, and that my application was being processed immediately.  And, to top it off, the immigration documents that they no longer need came through this week as well.

  I got to visit with yet another of Susan's denizens today. If my count is right Kendra was my twelfth person I've had the pleasure to spend time with in person from here. If you have the opportunity to meet someone you know from these rooms no matter how little , all I can say is go for it. You will find it rewarding sharing your stories.

What made me happy - meeting and seeing Laurie living full time as her true self.  I aspire to do the same in the near future.

Today, one month in on hormones, I did my makeup. Before I took hormones that was a way to connect to who I wished I was. Today, starting to see the effects, it just made me see the first bits of the girl in the mirror more. Fun moment. I wonder personally though...how much is the hormones and how much is what I'm now "allowing" myself to see?...

   Well I admit I was skeptical, Some one said wait until it happen and it will make your day. I didn't think it would happen to me. Oh I have heard it before when I was with others on my road trip but this time I was alone in a grocery store doing a little shopping. I was at the deli counter waiting for my turn when one of the women behind the counter she "What can I get you Ma'am?" No makeup just me in my wig, jeans, and a cute top. I know she was politely doing her job but it was the first time I, myself, had been "Ma'amed" and it felt nice.  I smiled  every few minutes when I thought about it for the rest of my shopping. Check out was okay and polite but no ma'ams to be had.

While it was just a little thing, it meant a ton to me.  I went out today with my nails polished and wearing my women's jeans, and T-shirt.  I wore a pair of sandals.  No one batted an eye at the nail polish.

Sadly, I was still sir'd though.

Probably because of the lack of makeup.  Maybe next week I will go with makeup on.

I'm not taking it off today either, going to wear it to work tomorrow.

My granddaughter is one month old.

I posted one of my astro-photos recently on an astronomy Facebook page.  (You can see the image here: https://www.susans.org/forums/index.php/topic,222247.msg2006756.html#msg2006756)  I got comments from a couple of my FB friends.  One said that it looked like a woman reaching for the stars, and that he liked it "on many levels."  another said " Or an athlete celebrating as she crosses the finishline".

I often find that subtlety goes over my head, but I can tell that they are referring to me.  It makes me weepy with joy to think that I have that kind of support, from people I don't even know that well!
