Check the VOICE link in the Wiki for a start.  The information I've found there seems to be backed up in a number of other areas.

From what I've read, the best voice changing setup involves lots and lots of practice.

Forget hormonal, dietary or surgical techniques.

Learning voice sucks lol.

I'm still embarrassed to use mine in any situation other than just practicing alone by myself.

Just one little piece of advice, everyone's going to say practice, okay yeah obviously a very very good idea hehe.  But also, don't get discouraged and frustrated and quit out of anger :P  I've done that a couple time because it was just soooo dissapointing to hear myself.  Don't give up and keep going and you'll get it eventually.

My advice is to be yourself and just use a higher register.

Try CandiFLA's voice tutorials on Youtube. She's only just started them, but she is AMAZING, and her last lesson was a major breakthrough for me.
