Anyone find any tricks to the "wide set" problem AKA getting cleavage?

Jane, I relate a lot with your insecurities and what would help. I cope in my own ways. More recently I just think if I do everything I want on my own and I don't have to depend on anyone then that'll be a miracle. I do need one of those. But I'm much earlier in my transition and it's easier for me to focus on other things like effects of hrt and growing my hair.

I'm wearing a Warner No Side Effects Wirefree with the light foam lined cups. It's basically a full coverage t-shirt bra, quite comfortable and it does give me a little shape from my 34-Barelys that 2 years of HRT delivered.

That said, wow, are things ever wide spaced. Cleavage just is not happening.

My therapist mentioned that in a breast augmentation adjustments can be made to improve position as well as just size. Is this something anyone has experienced?

I don't want to do the 'usual' stuff I see with huge breasts. I'm comfortable with the smaller size, but would be willing to put up with a slightly larger size if I had better placement.

Hi Michelle,

You're probably better served by speaking to a plastic surgeon about that. I had under-muscle implants, and the separation between the breasts is dictated by where you chest muscles attach to your sternum. There's not much you can do about that, I would think. There might be some leeway for sub-glandular implants, but again, I'm not one who would have definitive answers.

I went with larger implants, and I can get some decent cleavage with a good bra.

Lol. My wife was the opposite she saw me stoop and swoop and asked how I learned to do that. We had a great laugh about it

My issue is when you get to the band size I need (40 at least) they don't make them in cup size less than C. I don't really understand the thinking there.

If I had C or D or DD I don't think I'd be in as much need for the push up.

Had to Google "scoop and swoop". I've been doing that as long as I've worn a bra, didn't now there was an official name for it.

When I want my girls to spent time closer together I use the adhesive strapless bra I buy at Target, not comfy, but it bring the girls together...

A friend of mine told me, there is a golden rule for a women about looking good.. The more uncomfortable it is, the better you look in it, especially when it comes to bras. I love wearing strapless dresses, and I have worn some uncomfortable strapless bra's, but they make my girls look so good..
