Thats no good I only have a shower! Still have a sniffle this morning and its turned colder today. Must find something to do stuck in on my own ,yawn.

Put a chair in the bathroom and turn on the hot shower.  Steam and a whiskey might help....and it could hurt either.

You know you have a bug when your hot and shivering, dozed all morning but whatever it was has passed now and I feel fine. Feel back to normal what ever that is!

Back to normal, called on mum. She has taken to the air fryer, steak, potatoes, carrots and parsnips loaded ready for her lunch and cabbage and cauliflower cooking in a pan. Did some stuff to the panel van, not running yet but got it turning over.
 Made a "made up" veg Paulo, have 4 or 5 recipes so took what I wanted from each one and did my own. TBH they were all very different, could have used more spice but fine as had some with my dry chicken curry. Nick is still rough from his lurgy so going over Tues to sort stuff for the hot rod T. Need details of the place they booked for the Scotland road trip to book my own room.

Success ,I got the panel van running!! Did my knees in having to kneel down to get at the engine so returned home to rest them. Still have to swop battery's back over, tighten some loose drive shaft bolts and polish the paint before its done.

Over to Nicks today to help sort room for all the hot rod T stuff, we had to move loads of workout weights, my arms are sore!! Back tomorrow to work out a list of bits. Nick has booked me a room for the Scottish trip and said he will pay for it to cover my fuel costs for going to his place. You cant beat having good friends

Now I may not be the tidiest but I like things organised ,my head was going  padoing at Nicks in his workshop. All his drill bits chucked in a tin and same with his taps, took me over 1/2 hr to tap a thread . Something that would be a couple of mins work in my shop, finding the sharp correct drill and then finding a tap that would cut the thread. I am afraid I did make a few comments that at first didnt go down well but we were fine after I said its just annoying when I could have done this quicker at home.

Lots of house work needed today as well as food shop, I let things slip when I was poorly last week. Will be heavy shopping bags as well, thinking its a joint of pork and I need loads of veg and a bag of spuds.
 Its only 2 weeks till the Scottish trip, just hope it doesn't snow !

Bought a BLT sarnie for lunch yesterday, not sure if it was the lettuce or the reheated rice but boy did I have an upset tummy for 2 hours. I did stop eating lettuce for that reason but the rest of the rice is going in the bin just in case. More house work today, ran out of time and vac battery to finish yesterday. Have to walk to the chemist as well to get my new patches, also need some hair dye. I know the wig covers it but dont want white/grey strands showing! No curry tonight!! cold roast pork, roast spuds and carrots and broccoli I am thinking.

When I was in school, I worked in a gas station.  I ran the station alone on Sundays.  When I got bored, after tuning up and lubing my $150 car for the tenth time (I loved car lifts!!!) I would organize all of the tools because I hated the chaos the guys left, like you Davina.

The guys would show up Monday and buy me lunch at the Burger King next door.

My friend Deb is off to Australia tomorrow to spend 2 months with her stunt man son tomorrow, have been trying to see her all week but every time I called she was out or no signal to her phone (its a patchy place here) . Managed to ring her this morning and will see if she is in later as she was off to see grandkids this morning. Calling on mum this morning, its hot rod club breakfast meet tomorrow when I normally call.
 The doom and gloom folks are saying snow this week and be prepared, yes in the tops of mountings up north is all I suspect. At least I have 4 wheel drive in the Yeti with lock up but the normal road tyres will slow me down.

Brian rang me last night, do you want to come to my place in the morning to go to the hot rod breakfast meet as have no one to come with me. Shotgun in the Galaxy! yes please . Good turnout with sun shine if a little chilly so the side room was packed, good fried breakfast and then into the carpark to have a good chinwag.
Back home for 1pm, its turned cloudy now. Pork and green lentil curry to make in a bit.

I had intended to go to the workshop this morning before the bad weather but left leg playing up, muscle tight and pulling. No reason either from anything I did, still playing catch up on the house work anyways.
 Very cold the rest of the week and costs to much to heat my workshop, nothing desperate to do anyway.

Dusting of snow here this morning, its a lot more 15miles up north with lots of schools closed. Turning to rain later and then freezing over night. Yup staying in by the fire (okay its electric but does have fake flames). I stayed snuggled up in bed till 9, shower and hair wash in a bit.

Made a pizza from scratch for lunch in the air fryer "following" a recipe in my air fryer cook book, left over dough made into rolls. Tomato passata, puree ,dried garlic and onion with dried Oregano made the sauce. Cheese and sardine topping. Was good but the stupid air fryer is not cooking food underneath ,need a better one so will see tomorrow as they have an offer in the supermarket.
 Still playing catch up with the house work!!

The issue with the air fryer is that circulation is restricted because of the size. Preheating becomes particularly important. Maybe you could try a pizza stone if you could find one to fit. I needed a new microwave anyway so I bought a microwave/ air-fryer combination which is big enough to fit a full sized pizza. It takes ages to preheat though so I still think I need a pizza stone.

Not that I normally eat pizza, I do try to be more healthy! Just did it for something to do ,well its food shop day and looks like the car is froze solid. That will take a while to heat up to make it safe to drive and clear the windows and roof. Thats the trouble with diesel, they take ages to heat up but it does have a front screen defrost setting that puts any heat up the screen instead of it waiting till the engine is hot.
 Extra layers on today then, might be more snow showers later. Brrrrrrrrrr
