I don't really have a music collection as such. At least not a physical one. I listen to the radio a lot both on and offline, and download music.

Close, but I was thinking of an Itunes list also.  But sure, tell me what radio station you listen to and I can do the same thing.  Major money is put into knowing just that.

Oh, okay. I have the DragonForce Albums 'Inhuman Rampage' and 'Sonic Firestorm', 'The Open Door' from Evanescence and 'A State Of Trance' from Armin van Buuren. Those are the only ones I keep. But I listen to di.fm online (usually the trance and vocal trance channel, and Armin's radio show when it comes on). Other than that I tend to prefer speech radio, news and such, like the BBC World Service, and BBC Radio 4 in the UK.

I just watched that this weekend.  The only genetic males in the audience were myself and two gay guys.
I loved that movie!  Abba rocks.

But yeah.  While I don't think music can give you away in regards to transsexuality.  A persons taste in music will give rise to scrutiny about other things as well.

I went to see Mama Mia awhile ago with my boyfriend, a bioboy. He dragged me, and we were the only dudes there. Sat right in the front row because he loves Meryl Streep. Lawl. Maybe every theatre had an obligatory gay couple. As for the music I listen to, it's pretty diverse, and I wouldn't call most of it gendered. Indie, folk, electronica/electroclash, some stereotypical 80s music (think Duran Duran) and rap like Kanye West, among other things. Anyone think that seems to denote a certain background/gender/education level?

Simply put- Music doesn't reflect your gender, it reflects your soul.

I doubt my collection could give me away because I listen to such a wide variety.

Rammstein, Rise Against, Killswitch Engage, Disturbed, Bad Religion, Pendulum, Junkie XL, Daft Punk, Enya, Godsmack, Loreena McKennitt, Kitaro, Cold, Staind, Megaherz

I still listen to a lot of stuff that I grew up with, the things my parents listened to like Black Sabbath, Creedence Clearwater Revival, Blue Oyster Cult, Rush, Rolling Stones, Pink Floyd, Molly Hatchet, Eric Clapton, Aerosmith, Lynryd Skynryd (sp?) among others.

In the four years that I've been with my SO, I've sampled a great variety of electronica, which I'm enamored with (I won't even start into the different genres)

A close friend of mine also introduced me to punk/punk rock, which I'm quite fond of now, and another friend of mine got me into metal, which I wasn't too interested in listening to before.

So a lot of what I love now has been introduced to me by friends and relatives, but I always love to hear new things. My collection is constantly growing and changing, much like myself.

I listen to the music I enjoy. What fun is it if you worry others will criticize your tastes? I've seen men and women listen to nearly everything out there. Music doesn't define character, in my eyes.
