Growing up in the asian/filipino communities you become pretty acutely aware of asian/filipino attributes, where it actually becomes easy to "clock" another asian/filipino trans girl. At 5'6'' I was among the tallest of all the asian/filipino guys I knew. They seem to average 5'5''. Asian/filipino girls seem to average 5'1''.
I know a few of the girls from Asia SF and Asia SF Hollywood and once found myself among a number of asian trans girls. I almost chuckled when I realized we were almost all the exact same height and build. Very few GG asian/filipino girls can reach 5'5'' without an outside mix, and even then they're VERY skinny (typically skinnier than their Western counterparts). At 5'5'' asian/filipino boys on par with the average height and build of genetic girls in America (European/Caucasian). But take asian/filipino trans girls (who may be close to "unclockable" in the States) to the Philippines, and they TOWER over the genetic girls.
As a humorous aside -- has anyone seen Mr. & Mrs. Smith, the movie? In the movie, Brad Pitt plays an outwardly normal married guy but hides his day job as an assassin. While on a "hit" he encounters another assassin (unaware, the other assassin was a female played by Angelina Jolie). Later he's explaining his concern over being identified to his best friend (also an assassin, played by Vince Vaughn).
Brad Pitt : "i think i got I.D.'d on that hit. Ever been I.D.'d on a hit?"
Vince Vaugh : "Not that I'm aware of, no."
Brad Pitt : "Right. I think I'm in trouble"
Vince Vaugh : "Did you get a good look at him?"
Brad Pitt : "About 5'5''. A little thin. Buck ten, 115 pounds tops--"
Vince Vaugh : "Maybe he was filipino?"
LoL I burst out laughing when I first heard that since he almost perfectly described me as a boy. LoL!
