Have all the birthday's you want, but I'm only buying you drinks and a present one day a year, so pick one.

Sweet, can I have my drinks and present now? :D

I think that doesnt really make anysense, its like you never even existed. Celebrate your birthday, then celebrate the day you became you.

My SRS date:  Very important for sure, but not a birthday, m'amie! ;)

I would agree there.  I did try to get my SRS on my birthday (8 Jan), but that date was taken.

It's funny, though, the first available date after 'being certified' was exactly a month earlier, on 8 Dec.

And, no, the day before that was also booked, although I would have liked to have my SRS on 'a date which will live in infamy'  >:-)

I've always been me so I celebrate the day I was born.  My surgeries merely corrected problems that I consider defects of birth so I don't attach much importance to those dates.  The surgeries finally allowed me to live comfortably in my body but they also changed the lives of all the people I love in my life.  I don't celebrate loudly who I am or how I got here.  I'm just happy I made the trip.

Let's see how many birthdays I can have.

1. The day I came out to my family
2.  My first day of therapy
3.  My first hormone pill
4.  My first hair removal session
5.  The day I went full-time
6.  The day I had FFS
7.  The day I had GRS

7 birthdays?  ??? Nah.  I'll stick with the day I was born too.  ~laugh~

Correcting my body wasn't a rebirth per se but it was the beginning of functioning as a woman as opposed to just living as one.
The laws of God, the laws of man, He may keep that will and can; Not I. Let God and man decree Laws for themselves and not for me; And if my ways are not as theirs Let them mind their own affairs. - A. E. Housman

Although I will probably always remember the day of my GRS surgery, I will not celebrate it as my birthday.  My birthday was when I was born by my mother.....In my view I had a horrible birth defect and the date of my GRS surgery was just the day that corrected that horrible birth defect. I have always been me since the day I was born, so consequently, that is why I celebrate the day I was born by my mother as my birthday.

That's the way I see it too.
