It is a long time since I was a guy...

What do I miss......To be honest very little.

Most of the things I did as a guy, I do in one form (or another) now.

Some of the hobbies have changed, I loved Fishing, but that is not part of my life (and don't really miss it). I used to make models, but don't find this interesting anymore.

I don't miss any of the physical things (and sex is much better).... One thing I do miss is the strength, I can't open a jar of jam to save my life...

Run it under hot water first. I never could open those infernal things otherwise, and that hasn't changed now.

I don't think I will miss much. I sit to pee all the time now. I always did anyway but more so now. Maybe I'll miss the upper body muscle I already do as I have been losing some strength there as well as losing lots of weight. Of course I will miss doing some of the things I did as a guy that might be otherwise unacceptable from a female. The biggest thing for me would be friends. I probably will loose most of the friends witch isnt many but I'm not anywhere near that stage just yet. Otherwise I would just live my life as I want to be as female. I pretty much stopped most of the stuff I used to do as a guy anyway.

I was not very good at making friends as a guy.  I seem to be better at it as a female, because I am more outgoing.

I lost many friends after transitioned...my best friend in the world who was the only one who totally accepted it was killed in a car accident less than a month later.  My mom hasn't spoken to me in over 3 years because of this.  As far as "guy" things I miss I would have to say maybe just being able to do things without somebody judging you for why you did it. I realize that sounds a bit general but it seems that after living fulltime as a woman people tend watch everything you do and form opinions.  Let's face it...how many times have you heard a woman whisper "My gawd...WHY would she WEAR that???"

OMG, Brandi that is so sad about your friend. 

 So sorry for your friend Brandi.  You lost the only one that stayed by your side.

I just hope I have a true friend or two that will stay with me when I transition.

Well, until I pass better, I kind of miss just being able to get up in the morning and go to the store with only a few minutes getting ready.  But, after more time on hormones, this won't be a big deal.

as a female in society, there are many little things males get by with, females cannot.
aggressiveness...knowing other males won't lie to you w/o fear of trouble, esp. in a car garage,...

but for me? it's all okay, because being born male, I know my way around a car, and I know about car salesmen, and parts sales....

You wouldn't believe it Veronica but even if you could rebuild your own car engine with a swiss army knife, garage guys will still treat you as if you know nothing if you have a set of boobs.

The only time pre-transition I got treated with respect by a mechanic was once, over the phone, when I'd just got up in the morning and was discussing some work on my VW that I was not happy with in another shop. I decided that I'd have the car towed to his shop because I'd never been given that much credibility by a mechanic. I called him later and identified myself (and my car) and he said "no, I wasn't talking to you, I was talking to some guy". I told him it'd been me. And then, when I finally convinced him it'd been me, he started treating me like every other mechanic had. Even though we'd had a conversation that morning that made it clear that I knew that engine inside and out.

Needless to say I didn't have the car towed over there. I left it with the other idiot who patronized me. At least I didn't have to pay extra for the towing to be treated like an idiot.

If I hadn't been away at school I could've done the work myself. As it was, I had pay to be treated like that. Grr.

That's why I do my own work.  Then the mechanic treats me with plenty of respect.

I can't think of anything right now I'd really miss.  I mean...  at the moment, I'm more just excited and eager to begin transitioning, so I'm too busy looking ahead, I guess, to really think about it. 

About the only thing I'll miss is deer hunting with the guys...they just don't get the whole trans thing.  So if I do any hunting it will be by myself, hopfuly I can find some new hunting buddies.....
