Aussie Jay

After like a month of searching in my new town for a Doc with trans experience - I finally had my appointment, got my script and got my first shot this morning!! Stoked!!
It did sting a bit, I won't lie but I had a type of slow release T and it is a large volume so it is deep IM and has to be done super slow, so jabs are like 10-12 weeks apart - I wasn't expecting to be able to get it first up as most of the guys here and research I had done stated that guys are usually started on the smaller more frequent jabs.
Just wanted to share my happiness here as I have found a lot of helpful information and advice in these forums - especially when I thought this day would never come.
So thanks guys and girls  :D much love.
Cheers
Jay

Cool!!!

Hey, I've heard about this slow release stuff, but I don't use it. Keep us posted on how it's working.

Will do Arch, didn't hurt nearly as much as I expected!
Thanks Alistair, thats exactly what it feels like too mate. It was so hard to articulate how long I had been waiting for this. I've really been waiting my whole life to experience the changes I will now... But only knowingly been waiting for T like this for like 8 months  :D
Cheers Andrew! I fully beleive in your quote too - lived too long fearing what people think. No more. Hope all you guys are going well!!?
Thanks again,
Jay

Ooh grats, man!
Do you know if there's any difference in the effects/time-scale of effects with that slow-release stuff? Or does it simply mean you can inject less often? :3
I couldn't find much info about it except that it's "new".
  •

Myself

grats!

How are you feeling? :)
  •

Cairus

So wait, did you see a GP or a psychiatrist?? You were able to do it without a letter?
  •

Aussie Jay

Banf - yeah I had hardly heard of it before the other day too... I inject every 10-12 weeks and I have started on a full dose (you will have to google it)... as for changes - I am still trying to find out more about it. It's different every site I go to! I'll have to get back to y'all on that one - or if anyone knows please jump in.
Cheers Myself - I feel happy still!! Silly I know but today is a great day for me... Now I did notice a bit of a sore throat earlier but that was surely my imagination!! Sorry - I don't feel super just yet unfortunately lol XD
Hi Cairus - I saw my GP and got a script then went back to see a nurse. I saw a psych last month to be assessed and just needed a report from her to my GP - which hasn't come through yet and I need to call about, but when the GP still gave me the script I was stoked! But the letter will eventually find it's was to him - just glad I didn't have to wait.
Any other questions please feel free!!
Chees guys

Cheers Miniar - and yeah, but its not called that over here. Its Reandron. I've read different studies and reports on it so far - some for, some against but guess time will tell and I will just have to vigilant.
Feeling good so far!
Take it easy :)
