Remember the job I told you about ? They took me... not. Actually, it's the main concurrent of that hotel that hired me. I started my training today ; the job is not too hard and fun. I did not even have to mention my sister had worked there before. They did not make a single comment on my hair, either !
What is weird, though, is that I was hired from my résumé and a 5-minute conversation. No interview. Well, that's great, because I do nothing better than sweat at interviews.
I have more income, so I will be able to take an appointment for electrolysis very soon ! How neat is that ?
(I had to buy new pants, though. Black jeans don't do, haha. Plus, I plan to use many, many band-aids from now on, since I will have to wear my ugly black leather shoes that hurt my feet.)
I don't even know the salary (I was too afraid to ask), but the minimum salary is fine for me. And after 60 days of work, I get to be in the syndicate. I'm not sure what it concretely means for me, but I guess it more or less protects me from discrimination, which cannot hurt.
In the beginning, I am told I will do 5-10 hours/week in average, mainly doing replacements. But I will probably eventually work more.
The one problem is transportation, as the buses are not worth sh't in my city (one every 30 minutes maximum ; only from 10 o'clock to 17 o'clock in the weekends), but I think I can manage. And I still own a car I can "borrow" from my sister if I'm in need.
I sure am happy ! Screw that hair-standard-maniac hotel !
