I also would like some advice for what hair cut to get.  I just feel like my current haircut makes me look like a lesbian!

I'd be willing to go with ANY haircut that would make me pass more (I'm pre-everything).  but I would prefer a medium short hair cut with bangs (like I have now).  but not looking like a lesbian is more important to me.

Edit: I forgot to add, I also prefer(but can do without) not having to style my hair everyday.  I'm too lazy for that, lol.

That link is to a women's haircut... on a woman...?

I always say go for the short back and sides. You don't want anything too short as that'll emphasise feminine head shapes. At the same time, it's best to avoid all those stylish men's haircuts as they're extremely hard to pull off without that perfectly chiselled jaw, etc. I find that plain and boring men's cuts work best.

@JohnAlex: I'm in the same boat as you, man. And my hair looks just like yours except different color and a little shaggier :)

@Ryan: How short is too short? In your opinion, I mean.

Ryan has got the right idea, short on the sides and back, little longer on top. It also makes fuller faces look thinner sometimes so that's a plus. A crew cut might would work for you. It's shorter in the back of the top and gets longer towards the front so it also detracts from the headshape a little. That one you might have to explain a hairdresser if the aren't a barber though. You pass imo with that cut and it really doesn't look lesbian to me.... you look really young with it though.

What about something like this?

That's how my hair cut was originally and it made my face look REALLY round and femme. Now that it's grown out though it's hit my cheekbones (and I have big ones thank god) and looks much better. If you don't have a longer more angled face like that model there it just doesn't work well. IMO.

Maybe something a little like this may suit you?
A little less 'lesbian-ish' in my opinion

We are all men here, why are you linking to a woman's cut?  I would just go to a barber shop and say you want a men's cut, short on the sides and back and longer on the top.  That's how I get mine cut.

And I agree with Andrew in that you pass but for really young.

Really?  I had something similar but with shorter sides, and it looked okay with my round face.

I always cut my own hair.  Even when I gave myself female hair cuts, I did it all myself.  I learned how to because I can't stand the hairdresser not doing what I want.
So I cut my own hair in that picture as well.

Alright, so maybe I should get some clippers, and short on the back and sides.  and then what to do with my bangs...

You could do a Caesar and just leave the top a little longer so you could comb it down over your forehead. Why do you prefer bangs?  Just curious.

sorta OT but: How long/ many bad haircuts did it take to learn to cut your own hair?  How did you do it?  I want to learn to cut my own.

ok cool then.  Even with emoticons it's hard for me to judge seriousness on the internet.

Short back and sides worked best for me, but I don't know if it would be good for you. Those of us who do well with it (and similar cuts like the Caesar, Ivy League, etc) tend to have pretty similar narrow, rectangular faces. I can't really tell what your face shape is with your current cut but it looks a bit wider/rounder, which suggests a longer cut (though possibly still shorter than what you have), possibly spiked or worn messy.

You may not even need to cut your hair, just get some product and mess it up a bit - the Bieber-lesbian cut is most recognizable when it's worn combed and tidy.

I'm digging your current hair style. I'd start off with reducing the puffiness on top, and then i'd use  product to mess it up. Something like this;

He may like the hair style, but he had trouble finding the hair style on a guy.

I tend to get a 2 on the sides and something like a 4/5 on top. (It was getting rather long when my avatar was taken so ignore that.)
Having the same length all over is a bad idea. It exaggerates the shape of your head and gives off what I like to call the Sinéad O'Connor effect.

Have a look through Facebook and see what sort of hair the guys your age have. 95% of my friends couldn't care less about their hair and have really boring and plain cuts.

This is the sort of thing I'd go for, but maybe a little shorter on the sides to square everything out.

LOL.
Yeah, I'm gonna agree that (IMO) you pass in that picture, just young looking. Like 14-15.
And I'm also gonna agree with whoever said keep that hair and just muss it up a bit, I think that'd probably look fine. I'm not great with hair advice at all.

hm, a Caesar haircut, I could see that working.  I only prefer bangs because I've had them my whole life and I imagine I'd feel bald without then, but I'm not against having no bangs, who knows I might even end up preferring no bangs.

As for cutting your own hair, long female hair is really easy to cut.  there are a billion how-to videos out there.  and I learned a lot of techniques from those.  In my experience, there's not as many videos for men's hair.  so I've just been looking at pictures are trying to imitate.  But you can find video for how to cut another men's hair, just not how to cut your own hair as a man.
Another reason I like bangs, and slightly longer hair in general, is because it leaves more room for mistakes.  I can take like 2 hours to cut my hair because I got to go real slowly. because I'm afraid of making mistakes.
When I started cutting my hair short, I realized that I needed to have two large mirrors so I can see what I'm doing as I cut the back of my hair.
Another thing I did once was get my hair cut by a professional, and then alter it to my liking and maintain it's length.  it's much easier to maintain it's length than to cut a whole different hair cut.
And then I've also always loved cutting hair.  So I would watch people get their hair cut by hairdressers and I would watch all the techniques they use.
