Insidious

I give it a 4/5 for not having that topless girl that is just begging to be killed. Or that invisible ghost that you dont get to see until the ending of the movie.

I just finished watching the Rumik World Ranma 1/2 special edition OVA. It was funny as heck and I quite liked the updated animation style. But then I am always happy to see anything Ranma 1/2 related. :)

I just watched "X-Men: First Class" last night. I quite enjoyed it. I especially like the overall theme of the story being, "we're different, and we need to learn to accept ourselves before we can try to convince others to accept us." I know all of the X-Men movies have that a little bit in it, but that was the main plot of First Class. It certainly helped me a bit.

"Vidal Sassoon: The Movie" was a very charming, beautiful, and inspirational film. I highly suggest anyone to watch it.

I saw The Help this weekend and absolutely loved it! Worth the two and a half hours most definitely. Emma Stone is such a good actress, but everyone put in a good performance.

I've just watched Battle: Los Angeles, good fun if you're in the mood for a no brainer action film but if you want a storyline to get your teeth into then look elsewhere.

I also watched the Family Guy trilogy again the other day, it's ruined Star Wars for ever for me but in a good way

"A summer at La Goulette", oldish tunisian film set in La Goulette (Tunis beach) in the last summer before the '67 Arab/Israeli war. Story of three 17 year old tunisian girls, one Muslim, one Christian and one Jewish and how things used to be very different all those years ago. Not a great film but interesting in the context.

I'm often disappointed by 3D, but I heard Fright Night is one of those where they actually did it well and it was fun. Haven't seen it yet though. I watched the first one probably 10+ times in the theater. A buddy and I would get together and talk about seeing a movie and each time we just kept saying "How about Fright Night?" "Okay, Fright Night!" It was crazy. It was like a compulsion. We couldn't stop watching it. I think it was Evil that was compelling us to keep watching it. That guy went on to become a gay porn actor. What a shame he didn't go on to do more mainstream movies. He had such a personality. I think I did see him in one more movie but it totally failed to exploit his colorfulness--some teen angst move typical for the 80s, I think.

Just re-watched Machete last night. Be forewarned, it's a smidge violent. Totally cheesy movie and they clearly realize it and ran with it in a way that's really fun. I love it when a movie does that right. I also love the anti-borders/ anti-racism theme.

In theaters: Fast Five (pure awesomeness). Last watched overall: Pulp Fiction (pure awesomeness refined to perfection).
Despite what my profile pictures show, I am a very smiley and upbeat person. I'm merely the least photogenic person alive, that's all :P

Well, I work at a movie theater so I have the opportunity to see a LOT of movies in my spare time for free. But the last one I watched in the theater was "Shark Night 3D".

Worst movie ever. But it was funny. In a gross/stupid/low-budget way. =]

"Fit" 2010, a didactic british film done for school kids on being Lesbian or Gay. Of course such films are worthy in the extreme but found it hard to watch despite it being highly rated. Having Stonewall backing and promotion any mention of Trans was of course notably missing.
