Have you tried any of those BIG hamburgers?

Such as the McDonald's BIG ARCH or a Double Whopper at Burger King?
I have not tried the Big Arch.

Sometimes if I buy a burger and am not far from home, and it has two patties, I will save one patty to use with another bun.  Then I would have two sandwiches.  One for then, and one for later!  It made sense when the second patty cost only a dollar more.

Yes, perhaps a strange way to save money.  It is better to cook your own meat and make sandwiches at home.  Sometimes though you just cannot for some reason.

No. OMG no. They are your daily calorie allowance in a single thing. And then you have fries and whatever else... they are the heroin of the wide.

They don't make these kinds of things in countries where people care about not having to buy larger sweat pants.

Well there are plenty of places that have downsized those portions sizes AND increased their prices.  Seems like a double price increase.

At least I made two meals out of those giant burgers.

More credit to you, Chrissy.

There's a place in the UK called "Five Guys" the stuff they sell is positively obscene. I suspect it started off as one guy... but the dude ate a lot of fast food.

I went there once, they had greasy burgers, and they give it to you in a bag, even though you eat indoors.  They also gave you fries.  Messy.  Expensive.  Some of the sandwich tasted good but then there was too much fat and it was too much.  You were supposed to eat the burger from a torn bag stretched on your table.

A pound of 80% meat to fat organic ground beef is about $9-10 a pound here.  85% meat to fat organic ground chuck runs about a dollar more a pound.

Not to mention they have literal milkshakes with bacon in it.

Chrissy... where do you like to go to eat? Not the obscene, fat-in-a-bag stuff. You pose a lot of questions but... what do YOU like to do?

What is something that Chrissy is like... "this is my go to!"?

She also has very memorable desserts.

Insofar as restaurants, unless I am on business, I prefer go to mainstream sit down restaurants, no place fancy except for special occasions.  I like steak, seafood, TexMex, Asian, and some deli, diner, and cafeteria food.  Plus some others from time to time.  I do not do the fast food drive through much but I will in a pinch.

I am curious now what you do when you are on business, Chrissy, haha. Are you one of those people who have to have other people talk to your people? ;D

Oh there are times to meet for with others for a business meal, then there are my out of town business meals by myself.  Then there are meals, usually a breakfast or lunch, supplied because of a conference or at some meetings.

I have very particular ideas about what a "business meal" is. I suspect highly un-appetising. Power flour. Team building burgers... that fall down in the slightest breath of wind. These days probably AI pancakes. With nutritionally balanced syrup. Which tastes straight out of a focus group. :P

Well they are not stuffy except rarely there may be a pretentious person. These are not state dinners with leaders of nations either.  Translators not needed.

They could be a work anniversary or retirement or departure lunch, a working lunch, or a meal when with others of another business.  Or just so I do not get hungry when out of town.

I will not penny pinch when being reimbursed for a meal but I do not usually spend more money on a meal simply because I am allowed to do so.  But I may add shrimp or a lobster tail to a steak meal.
Which is okay because I do not have three big meals each day when out of town.  Just enough to keep me going.  I would not want to gain weight.

Girl, if someone is okay with paying you to eat lobster... let them eat lobster! As Marie Antoinette probably would have said. I will be honest... if someone said to me "Yeah we will give you the money you spent on a meal"... I would probably look for the finest Atlantic smoked salmon and the purest Russian beluga caviar.

Which is quite delicious, by the way.

Once I had a meal with three small lobster tails, salad, soup, but I skipped the dessert.  No steak with it.  Oh I also had a shrimp cocktail that had four huge cold shrimp and a red horseradish cocktail sauce that cleared my nasal passages for sure.

Haha, horseradish will do that to you. You should try Colemans English Mustard. Chrissy. It is a better remedy for nasal congestion than most other stuff.

Honey, enjoy what you eat. It's one of the few pleasures we get to choose.

I never heard of this mustard.  Does it also have horseradish?

I suggest Halibut or Walleye fish if you have not tried those Lauren.

I had a long job that involved rewiring computer networks at Sam's Club and Walmart stores all over Illinois, Iowa, Indiana, and Wisconsin. I had an apprentice with me, and we did a lot of travelling.

We were allowed a certain amount for rooms and meals. We went cheap (but clean) on the rooms, and for meals, we would have donuts and fruit juice for breakfast. Then a light sandwich for lunch. That left us enough to eat very well in the evenings!

Check your thread about mustard, honey. :) It is similar to horseradish, and wasabi, but a distinctly English take on it. It has the same effect, though.
