I just used the men's restroom at work for the very last time! Starting tomorrow I am full time  ;D

Happy evening of the last day you'll ever pretend to be a man.
From now on, no more going in drag when you need to use the can.

I found out from a specialist today that my chronic hellfire pain in my foot is due to a high arch and not the more serious perpheral neuropathy.  The latter may require that I stop HRT because it is listed as a cause.  I need to put arch supports in my shoes.   :)

I came out to my best friend today, and she was totally good about it, and says she loves me no matter what gender I am. That was heartening.

That's a big win and she's a keeper!

The little blue bird we have keeps getting out of its cage. So I walk upstairs and I see it hopping and trying to fly to get back inside. It was pretty cute.

A pal of mine has canaries, they're adorable. Especially when they fight over a bit of broccolli.

Oooh. *goes to the fridge to find broccoli* I wonder if the bigger bird will eat some. He loves apples.

I finally have a date for my surgery.
And it's in the near future, so I won't be waiting much longer.
:)

Well done! How did it go?

No issues thus far.

Another thing that made me happy. I went to the bank to change my name there, and the guy at the door asked for my debit card. When I handed it to him (it has an old picture of me on it) he looked at it, looked at me, then asked "why do you have (insert old male name) card? You do know I am going to have to report this."  I smiled and handed him my court order for my name change. He was shocked!

Tonight I heard loud meowing at the door, so I opened it to see an adorable Siamese kitten. She rushed into my apt. like she owned the place and continued meowing, like 'Why did you put me out there, it's December, what's wrong with you human?!' She's not mine. But she is now stuffed full of left-over chicken and sleeping contentedly in my lap :) She has no fleas, no ear mites, and seems in perfect health. She probably belongs to someone else, but for tonight I have a tiny kitten in my lap, and I'm very happy.
What the hell was that?!                 From every wound there is a scar,

*gasp* They've gone to plaid!        A story that says,
                                                        "I survived."

I'm so happy for you girlfriend, sounds like you've been gliding over a lot of hurtles as of late and moving right along unimpeded. Couldn't happen to a nicer chickster, kudos!
