I have recommendations in terms of your selfie taking. Try to prop your device somewhere and put the camera on a timer and stand in front of the camera so that you can get a better body shot of yourself without having to hold your device up to a mirror like that. Then try getting a close up of your face by using the device's front facing camera (if it has one). From the pictures you took, you look a bit stressed in them. Try looking more relaxed and natural before you take your selfies, they will turn out much better that way.
Athena,
Thanks for the feedback. Yeah, I suppose I look a little uncomfortable in a couple of those. The grin is definitely forced, though I still rather like the first two pics, at least. Besides my photo skills, whatcha think?

Hmm...it's hard to say, since my first thought is that your face looks a bit masculine, but since I can't surmise exactly what it is, I have to assume that it's just my imagination. You have a very slim figure that will probably make it very hard for people to see you as male
Thanks for the thoughts, River (or should I say Sweetie?). I'm really hoping that the masculine you picked up had to do mostly with the eyebrows and hair length. Also, due to nocturnal teeth grinding (yet another dysphoria-stress-related behavior), my jaw muscles are prominent; hopefully HRT will put an end to the teeth-grinding, and melt those muscles away.
And thanks for the comment about my figure- I'm really happy with it, especially since I came across an old, heavy picture of me the other day (ugh). I really thought the width of my shoulders would be a problem, but even pre-HRT they look okay, don't they?
If it comes to you, River, where the masculine impression is stemming from, I'd be very grateful to know so that I can try to correct. Thanks.
This was just a trial-run, and that is literally my only girl shirt. I'll try again soon, once my hair has grown more (it's thick and grows incredibly fast), I've got something better to wear, and I've figured out something about makeup.

Teg,
You'll do fine. I've already told you that you are beautiful, well you're pretty darn cute too. Here are the obvious tells.
You'll need to do some eyebrow shaping,
If you're going to wear a tee shirt, ditch the arm hair.
Buy some breast forms, but don't get carried away and go for super busty. We aren't trying to attract attention, at least not at first.
OK so the first time you go out if you have a cis-girlfriend you can go with you will have an absolute blast. Best not to go alone, it is just too scary. You'll eventually need to work on your voice, you sound like an English teacher. But for now be the amazing girl you have inside.
Love You Lots,
Julie
Hi Julie, thanks for your opinion- your thoughts mean a lot to me. Of course, the arm hair will need to go, and the eyebrows need a major overhaul. I've got a family portrait coming up in a week, though, and I intend to be my parents' son in it, so yeah... Certain things need to wait.
As far as breast forms, I never intended to present as super-busty, but thanks for the note. I like the idea of a respectable size, but not overkill. Besides, I think breast forms and dressing out are still a long way away for me.
As for the voice, it's something I'm working on. My range is pretty decent to begin with (you haven't heard my attempt at speaking femme yet, Julie. It mosty only comes out in my therapy sessions these days, tbh). I'm going to practice through the Summer. I even got a DVD and CD to help with that. And if I go full-transition, I wouldn't be opposed to a trip to Yeson at some point.
Just curious, though. I "sound like an English teacher"? Elucidate, if you please. What's an English teacher sound like?

Thanks, ladies. If anyone else would like to chime in, I'd be really grateful.
Cheers,
Tegan
