Rachel

I volunteered at the PTHC at kids camp and at a table my work has. Later I went to the 12 street gym (LGBT) gym and worked out with my trainer. I have had this feeling all day, a feeling of being comfortable and happy with who I am.

I met my endocrinologist, signed forms, got labs, and picked up my prescription.

Just took my first (tiny) dose... Farewell, testosterone!  :)

The fuse is lit...
Earth my body, water my blood, air my breath and fire my spirit.

My personal transition path included medical changes.  The path others take may require no medical intervention, or different care.  We each find our own path. I provide these dates for the curious.

7:30 appt Monday with my electrolysis lady, oh my she works hard....,starts early. It will be nice to see her, she knows I'm a woman & she is doing all she can to remove my remaining facial hair. If we can ever get done with that she also does permanent makeup for eyes & lips. I'd love better defined lips & eye work to just look nicer without so much or any makeup. She is a pro & does that for lots of her clients. My nails are finally looking OK. Life is good I guess, it's a lot of work to look nice but well worth it.
mtF, mid 50's, always a girl since childhood, HRT (Spiro, E & Fin.) since 8-13. Hormone levels are t at 12 & estrogen at 186. Face lift & eye lid surgery in 2014. Abdominoplasty/tummy tuck & some facial surgery May, 2015. Life is good for me. Love long nails & handsome men! Hopeful for my GRS & a nice normal depth vagina maybe by late summer. 5' 8", 180 pounds, 14 dress size, size 9.5 shoes. I'm kind of an elegant woman & like everything pink, nice & neet. Love my nails & classic Revlon Red. Moving back to Florida, so excited but so much work moving

Getting the results of a fertility test - positive.

So I held off hormones for an actual reason that was worth doing, rather than just a hope and a waste of time.

I was convinced it would be negative - I smoked since my early teens, did all the stuff you aren't meant to, wore tight jeans for years.

I'm so relieved.

Congratulations to Michelle up there btw. Hope it all works out.

Well,  it's not as monumental as some of the things here,  but I bought women's shoes yesterday.   Even tried them on in the store.   I've not been able to do that before,  so it was a big "step".   Pun intended.

I had to get new bras as I needed bigger cups.  The girls were in pain with what I had.  I'm up to 36D now.  I don't think they will get any bigger but I'm happy they did this well.

Realised the other day after using the fitting rooms and then trying on sample lipsticks in a departments store that I've come a long way since last winter when I bought clothes in a different city and rushed in and out to keep my secret.

When I was shopping for groceries at the local supermarket, a woman next in line to me actually addressed me with female pronouns. This made me exceptionally happy, seeing as I wasn't even wearing make-up or anything or dressed particularly feminine. Heck; I haven't even shaved in a day, though ever since I've started laser hair removal I've been blessed with much thinner facial hair. Of course I had to hide my voice when the woman approached me, since I still have that stupid "hot potato" guy voice. Still, this event made me very happy and hopeful today!

IPSY glam bag day is always nice, a cute little bag, small nail polish, eye makeup. My plastic surgeon is nice to PM with every so often. I know she will do a great job on my GRS. Two years ago today completed my facelift & wearing a facial compression mask 24/7 for a month or more. I'm so happy that was completed. My GRS whenever I gather the funds & time for it should be a walk in the park compared to all my previous surgeries.

Thanks!  It's not much of a secret.  Hormones got me up to C.  I was blessed in this regard.  The extra mile was from my body feminization surgery I had a month ago.  That procedure was to remove fat from my flanks, abs, upper back and near the armpit and transfer that to my rear.  If there was any left over they were going to balance the girls out some as my right was a little smaller than the left.  I woke up and the girls were considerably enhanced between fill and reducing my back.

It does look pretty good which makes me happy :-)

I've had a facelift, eye lid surgery, lipo & a tummy tuck but I would love to have the surgery you outlined, my upper arms & back have so much extra fat, yuck. Like you I'd love a fuller more natural butt. But darn not much extra $, GRS will cost about 25K you know.   I bet you look great, good for you girl friend.  OH I'm buying Fla lotto tickets, if I ever hit I'll take care of everything!!!!My plastic surgeon is OK but he's not that good at going the extra mile to make my body look more female....darn. We have talked about my arms but he says they look normal, not true, they have so much fat on them, ugggg????

A few days ago it was my birthday so I got my eyebrows waxed, bought a new dress on sale and had acrylic nails attached for the first time :)

April 22, 2015, the day of my first face to face pass in gender neutral clothes and no makeup. It may be months to the next one, but I'm good with that!

Being transgender is just a phase. It hardly ever starts before conception and always ends promptly at death.

Being moved to a different NHS board region, for the purposes of sperm freezing, and dealing with a lovely respectful young man who said it was simply a matter of a referral letter from a GP, that can be acted on as soon as they get it, and that I have the legal right to completely free storage, as does anyone transitioning.

Not the story I got from the harridan of a fertility receptionist at my local board, who when I explained said "oh that takes months and months". When I said it can't possibly take such a long time when it has to be a fast service used to going at speed, for people starting chemotherapy, she said "yeah, well it's hardly that in this case is it?".

No, love, just another few months of dysphoria - why don't you try it! Then she went on about the potential counseling that would be required - and involve more time and an extra waiting list. I said what exactly is the counseling for? She laughed and said "the implications" like I was some kind of child. I said "I'd have thought the implications were obvious". So she concluded "maybe you just can't do it then".

I'm going to ring back and report her.
