For a lark, I just looked up and read the first few pages of Twilight on Amazon. That's five minutes I'll never get back. Did she not have an editor?
While it's sad that she is such a horrible writer, what's even worse is that so many people think she's a
good one. I've heard teens and old women going on about how talented she is. *GAG*
I thought the first book was cute, but certainly nothing special. It was just another teen romance (I won't quantify it as a VAMPIRE romance, as in my opinion, one must have
fangs to qualify as a vampire. I guess that just makes it a cannibal romance...hehe). I liked the character of Jacob in the second book, because he at least came across as a person. I gave up on them after that.
Don't even get me started on the movies. The director needs to be drawn and quartered. I'm shocked that such an inexperienced person was allowed to touch such a high-popularity project. Not that it seems to have mattered to the fans, though....
*shrug*
