Haha, yep pretty much. I've just drank diet drinks for years so regular ones taste funny. Afterwards I did go to Walmart and buy myself a new 40lb set of dumbbells that I've been eyeballing. Everybody needs cheat days, lol.

I have found that, if I am going to cheat on my diet, I figure I might as well do my best.

"Go big or go home."

Maybe that is why I posted under "Pleasingly Plump Jamie D" for a while.   ::)

For me it just ends up "Go home BIG".

Getting close to payday, so have to clear out the remains of the food in the fridge...

Cheese and summer sausage omelet, with a side of summer sausage, topped off with a medium salsa (my new love, in the condiment world), two pieces of toast -n- jam (the ends of the loaf, strawberry jam)...and oh yeah, Ovaltine.

:P

Good, basic, American fare.

I grilled some boneless pork loin chops, and roasted some corn.  Added a small mixed green salad, and served the pork with chunky applesauce.

Homemade lasagna ("lazy lasagna") with hamburger, a bowl of spinach (I *love* spinach--that's an entire can!), sourdough garlic toast, and a Heineken.

Ahh, what more can I ask for?

....Maybe a foot rub?

Today was "fish day" for dinner, on the Scarsdale Diet.

So I made two 5-6 ounce swordfish steaks, with olive oil, and a bit of salt and pepper.  Broiled on each side for about 4 minutes, for a 1-inch thick steak.

I topped that with a homemade citrus-pine nut-parmesan pesto comprised of fresh basil, pine nuts, lemon juice and zest, orange juice and zest, a pinch of sea salt, EVOO, a pinch of FGBP, parmesan cheese, and a smashed garlic clove, mixed together in my little salsa processor.

Mixed green salad on the side with a pecan raspberry light vinaigrette.

Kind of a weird dinner but this is how I eat a lot of the time. Baby Carrots, a cumber, some cottage cheese, a a slice of bread with peanut butter on it.
