What are you eating (Ver. 2.0)

Oh shoot... that was a brain fart... XD Actually peeled bananas taste much better, LOL. XD

I just ate a tofu, cheese and marmite sandwich. Mmmm... How I love thee, O Marmite!

I haven't eaten them yet, but I put the cookie dough in the refrigerator to rest overnight, for MomoFuku Milk Bar (New York City) Compost Cookies.  I will bake in the morning.

Sadly, one of the nurses in my cardio program is being reassigned.  These are for her.

They will look a little like this:



They have in them a decadent sugar cookie base, with Hersheys Cinnamon Chips, Hersheys Milk Chocolate Chips, Nestle Dark Chocolate Chips, Ghiradelli White Chocolate Chips, rolled oats, golden raisins, chopped pecans, kettle potato chips, and pretzel sticks.

I am making them as "cookie pops."

OMG, they were so good!  But they were easily the most heart unhealthy thing I have made for the group.

I still have some uncooked dough left!!  :angel:

But, oh wow, the batch has 4 sticks of sweet butter, lots of white and brown sugar, 4 eggs, almost 4 cups of flour, and all the other goodies mixed in.

I am not even going to check my blood sugar now.

We'll have to take a rain check, my BP was up kinda high today, getting older isn't for sissies I guess!

Carrot-brocoli-cauliflowers-potato cream soup, topped with dills, chives and toasts fried in butter, salt and garlic. A thin crisp slice of bacon fried with garlic.

My daughter is a bit sick recently, so I am staying at home with her and was able to express myself in the kitchen :P.

In the US, tomorrow is the Fourth of July holiday.  In fact, many Americans take Friday off as well and make it a four-day weekend.

Tomorrow I am going to cook racks of ribs in the grill.  But tonight I made "Humdingers."

There was a wonderful hamburger stand in downtown Los Angeles, originally on Wilshire Blvd at Bixel, near Woodbury University.  It was called Pete's Grandburger and it opened in 1949.  The place was packed at lunchtime.  After they lost their lease, they moved up to 6th Street, across from the Good Samaritan Hospital.

The Grandburger was a double decker cheeseburger.  But my personal favorite was the Humdinger.  It was a cheeseburger topped with a sliced hot dog.  Two awesome, evil pleasures in one meal.

Mustard, mayonnaise, ketchup, lettuce, tomato, onion, and pickles.  Oh, and chili!  Mmm, mmm, good.
