Tried some stevia drops in my tea since we're out of sugar and I can't use the artificial sweeteners...it passes the test. ;D

I got weaned off of sugar and use Stevia, it's a great natural substitute!

It is! Could you tell me if you think it's good for baking or anything like that?

Thanks ;D I'll have to see how I handle it, because my stomach is upset and I know it can't handle other sweeteners...lol.

Picked up a pair of these spiky things to put on my boots yesterday and tried them out when I rode my bike to the store today  :)

Worked great!!! Especially when taking off from a stop

Well, the surgery situation is looking up a bit. My parents asked more about it and my mom was like "omg what if you have a bad reaction to anesthesia and someone needs to make a life or death decision? It's all the way in Florida! How will you get groceries?" So one of them will be going down with me whenever I can book it. Meaning my dad can use points that he has to cover the airfare. So now, my concern is only $7000 as opposed to $10,000.

I have to admit too, this is a very big step for them. I have to wonder if it will be emotional to know that their "daughter" is going in there to get "her" boobies cut off, or if they've already made their peace with the fact that "she" is gone.

Truth be told, despite their shortcomings, I can see that they truly do love me. For a while I wondered, for many reasons that were not transition-related. But they wouldn't do that if they didn't. And my dad said he kind of liked having me around the house. Better than when I was 18 where he asked "why is she even still here?"

Even parents grow up eventually, I know because I are one!  :D ;D

Lol. I think that a lot of their anxieties before were just due to the fact that they didn't feel myself or my brother were on the right track (even though I did extremely well in school, I think they worried about my introversion). Basically that we didn't fit the shape they thought their children would be...but, we've turned out just fine and also nothing is going to change.

Lol, I often tell other parents that my adult kids have turned out just fine in spite of me!  ;D

Well, I went driving tonight and didn't wreck, get pulled over, get mangled, or died.  I also didn't hurt or kill anyone so that's good.

In my personal opinion for myself, driving is a stupid right of passage.  It's bullcrap for me.  Gosh I hate it so much.

Perhaps you are looking at it wrong. It isn't a right of passage, it is an important skill used in many types of employment. Any skill which increases your choice of employment boosts your chance of employment. Many employers want people who have a license whether or not they drive to work and back, so think of it as employment training.

My little sister was eating crackers and when she saw me she instantly brought a few pieces for me with a big smile.

Watched a video about a lion, a tiger, and a bear that grew up together and are friends in an animal sanctuary. They were confiscated from a drug dealer is why the odd mix, and it was decided that keeping them together was right. The footage was entertaining and heartwarming. I was always taught not to anthropomorphize animals, but I don't think we do it enough. We're all on a spectrum.

I don't like driving either. People sometimes think I don't do it because I'm poor, but even when I've got enough money I never consider buying a car. It's too stressful and expensive for me. I prefer my feet and my bike and the buses and trains and streetcars. Even when I lived in bumfuzzle deep south towns, keeping up with insurance and gasoline is a bigger burden than walking.
